I love Matching Sundays!

....
I think I am just going to post every Sunday, because I just can't get enough of the matching pictures! Serioulsy Lucas kissed Bridget all on his own. I didn't even have to ask him to do it! CRAZY! Look at my cute kids! Go ahead! :)
.....
They will probably hate me in a few years, but until then, I'm doing it, I can't help it. I'm obsessed!

Lazy Day

It was a beautiful day, and so we put the kids to sleep and well....they crashed. Bridget sleeps best when the blanket is over her face and Lucas sleeps best when he has a lot of pillows around him...see below:

as you can see they both sleep with one arm extended...that's a Nathan thing....

Anyway-after we knew there was no waking them we cleaned out the garage, when I say we, I mean Nathan, dirt and webs are gross! Since we have no vehicle it was pretty easy to clean out the garage.

Once Lucas was awake it was only a few minutes until Bi-get was frightened, I mean awakened. So we went outside and Lucas got to play with a firetruck that Adrienne gave us and he was all about figuring it out.

Man we love this kid!

3 Months Already?!?!?!

I can't believe our little Bridget, Bridgey-Lou, Bi-git, and Bridgey is 3 months (yesterday). She really is turning into the beautiful little princess Nathan was afraid of! Hahaha she is so quiet, and happy, and a GREAT sleeper. She loves to sit up and watch Lucas beat her up, haha no I am kidding. She likes to just watch Lucas be Lucas, while sometimes getting smacked in the process. She smiles and laughs and thinks rolling over is pretty fun!

Pizza Party!

We had Noah over for a little pizza party. We were going to paint, but Lucas had a melt down because he needed his nap but just couldn't stop playing!

Lucas having a great time sprinkling and eating the cheese!

Noah and his silly face!

A Romantic Evening for Two...

...romantic? If you call looking for a new mini van romantic, then yes, it was...very....
Well, that is what we did first before we went out to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary! It is weird to think that I have been married for 3 years. Nathan would say it is his average...to those of you who know what I mean! Hahahahaha We went to downtown Denver, which is where our first date was, and I begged Nathan to take me somewhere I have never been. Maggiano's is great (our first date) and Cheesecake Factory is great (our second date) but I really wanted something different. So he delivered, and boy did he deliver! He took me to Marlowes YUMMY

Our Appetizer was the Fresh Jonah Crab Stuffed Giant Mushrooms, Oven roasted fresh Jonah crab stuffed giant mushrooms, Sun-dried tomato pesto we ate it too fast to take a picture of it.
Nathan had the 8 Ounce Organic Frenched Porkchop Pan roasted, arugula-feta stuffed, goat cheese-fusilli bucati corti pasta, chili drizzle (middle) and I had the Surf and Turf...Lobster Tail and 4oz. Filet Mignon Char grilled, German potato cake, green peppercorn demi glace, chive-caper creme fraiche (Right)
Then we went to the Witte's to pick up the kids and Lucas says "Mommy!" and then "Daddy!" like yea you are back. It really ended the night on a happy note! :) He always seems to make my day!

We Love Books!

I have been collecting children's books since I was in High School. Sad I know, but I am borderline obsessed with books. Thankfully, I married a man who understands my need to stop at the kids section where ever we go, whether it's Target, or Barnes and Noble, it doesn't matter I have to see what's new, and exciting. I don't like just any one type, but they have to meet a certain criteria, for example, they have to have great illustrations, they have to have a good out loud read sound for example, if I were to read it to a class, it would have to flow correctly, and if at all possible it must rhyme. I used to not like board books, just because the stories were lame, or it was just too plain, but while I was teaching I fell in love with Sandra Boynton, and thankfully Lucas has too. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her. He likes that I read it like it should be read with tons of expression, and lots of laughter! These are our daily reads...

I really enjoy reading books to Lucas and Bridget doesn't like me to read to her yet but she does like Lucas to read to her....

In this picture, Lucas is reading Bridget a book about Easter, but you get the point! Hehehe. Another set of books that I really enjoy reading to Lucas are the Click Clack series. They are hillarious and I usually let Lucas say the sounds like "Click, Click, Moo" when it's time to read them.

If you ever need a good book reccomendation, ask me! I own over 300 children's books and that number IS going to go up! I read about 10-12 books to Lucas and Bridget...if she is awake everyday.

I looked out the window and what did I see...

I am pretty sure this primary song is sung in the spring, but it just seemed to fit for what Lucas and I woke up to this morning. We looked out and saw snow! After 3 beautiful days of sunshine, we were hit with snow! I opened the front door and Lucas said "uh-oh" and ran into the family/play room and looked out onto the deck and saw that his walker was outside. I had put it in time out yesterday, because he was ramming it into Bridget's Boppy while she was in it! So I told the walker to be nice and put it in time out. Maybe Lucas will think that time-out means staying outside in the snow...overnight! Yikes! Maybe he will be nice so that isn't his punishment! Hahahaha
I had to take it B/W because it looks so depressed out there on the deck...the lone walker in time-out.
