And that's all folks!

Grandma had to leave and we had to get back to real life.  As soon as we dropped her off, we started on the girls rooms. They are 90% done, and we are so excited for the next set of visitors!

I thought this trip would have been harder since my dad's passing, but it was really nice to have family visit.  My Dad wasn't able to make it to our new house. He passed away 3 weeks before he was scheduled to come. :/

July 4th with Grandma

We left late, and I got to mad I lost my temper over being late. (Which, in retrospect, we weren't late at all, just late for Valerie Standard Time, which is 15 minutes early)

Nathan and Joyce ran ahead and met this amazing lady named Elizabeth who let us sit on her lawn, which, is UNHEARD of anywhere out of small town USA, but in Idaho, people are super nice.

We had a primo spot for the IF parade which is oh so fun.

 Then, this man named Bob who turned 80 yesterday asked if my kids wanted to be in the parade. I said yes, Lucas will and Bridget offered and then Grandma said she would love to!

So, they were at the front of the parade holding this most massive flag I have ever seen.

While they walked the parade, the rest of us enjoyed seeing tons of kids we knew, including a few in my class from last year!

The kids had a great time. Collected a bunch of candy, and then we came home to prep for the Bockholt's backyard party.

Grandma took everyone out to Abracadabra's and I made lemon cupcakes.

They turned out so pretty.

Then Nathan took the kids to the hill for the fireworks show, and Joyce and I stayed and chatted and caught up on a favorite show.

It was a great day. I know this because Mason said to Grandma "I love this day!"

June 3rd

We had kind of a lazy day, and spent the afternoon swimming. It was so nice to just enjoy Grandma and watch movies and be together.

Yellowstone Bear World

 We decided to go somewhere new with Grandma today. This Bear World is in Rigby, so it was only 20 minutes away!  It was similar to Bear Country in South Dakota when we went a few years ago.

We went to the petting zoo first.

 Juliet was channeling her inner 80s kid or was it Stephanie Tanner? 

 We also went on the rides.

But the main reason we went was to see the bears!

We had a great day, and when we got home, the kids played twister and other fun games with Grandma.

Visitor #1 - Grandma Horn

The kids woke us up, they had labeled the bathroom for Grandma.  Apparently something clicked and they are labeling everything in the house.

    Love that Juliet.

We drove over to the airport to get her, and then brought her home for lunch.

We had a quick salad and took a selfie...

Then we headed out to the Japanese Gardens and the Falls.

Bridget looks totally ripped in this picture below. HAHA

Side note, when did my kids get so huge?!?!

We came home, played several rounds of UNO and DOS, watched videos of Stephanie's kiddos, and stuffed ourselves on steak and potatoes, because, we are in Idaho.

After that we did a random dance party.

My kids obviously don't take dance classes. HAHAH

Bridget also showed us this random image she made in Art Class. Yikes!

That is baby Scarlett, BTW.

We decided to watch Coco but I think that was a dumb idea because it is about death, and forgetting our ancestors, and families, etc and you know, my Dad isn't here anymore. :/

Oh well.
