Chassé and Plié

The girls were ready to roll this morning. If it is Wednesday, it it a ballet day!

Weirdly enough, it was overcast AGAIN! ugh!

Bridget's class goes first, but since I am their mother, we got there a little early for free dance.

Even though they fight like cats and dogs the entire 6 minute drive there, once we are in the ballet room...they are best friends.

Bridget will shout out "Adagio" and both girls will do the movement.

Then Miss Liesel will tell them it is class time, so Bridget stays in and Scarlett goes into the foyer and plays Tangrams.

I stand out and take pictures through the glass.

Bridget's shoes came in, Scarlett's unfortunately were too small.
From 2 weeks ago when she was fitted to today...they grew somehow.
Oh well, back to Bridget.

She loves it, has a good time, and then it is over.

Scarlett runs right in and waits for instruction.

Part of the program is the leaves. This is Scarlett's favorite thing.

This is Sylvia. She is deaf. She gave both my girls a name sign.
Bridget's is the letter B across her chest.
Scarlett's is the letter S tapped twice on the chin.

Someone who speaks ASL has to give you a name, you can't just make it up on your own.

 Scarlett is a natural dancer.

I love Wednesdays almost as much as they do.
I love to see them with others and actually listen and take dance seriously.

Juliet will love it too, when its her time.

Picnic and Playtime

We have a lot jam packed into the next 2 weeks. To top it off, Nathan has been covering for his boss all month who is out of town - which means...late hours.
So, we decided to slow down a bit, pack a lunch and head out to a new park I found.

This park had 4 playgrounds AND a basketball court, and a perfect place to ride bikes/scooters.
The only negative thing was woodchips (UGH)

It was so nice to decompress and just be together. No where to go, nothing to do, no agendas.

Nathan and I just sat in the grass with Mason and watched the kiddos.

He is such a chunky happy boy!

Mason really enjoys being up. You will see so many pics of this.
But when you get a reaction like this...

 How can you stop?

The kids had a great time. We were the only people there!

We brought a feast for lunch.
It was delicious and nice to just eat in the 65 degree weather.
Breeze and peace.

This was one of the climbers. So cool right?

Bridget's hair is really coming in thick now!

Mason was stealing raspberries.

 Hugs and kisses too!

Juliet came up and asked to be "upped"

Here she is mid toss.

We brought out the bikes and scooters.

More climbing, chasing, and giggling.
Lucas sporting some new freckles:

Juliet somehow managed to swipe a sandwich and run off with it.

This next one isn't "great" but I love it so much.
You can't fake joy. Hehehe

One last runthough before we left. We were there for hours.

We came home and dropped a small fortune at the lumber store to prep for the upcoming weekend.
*sigh*
Back to real busy life, which is good.
Not as great as today's easy day, but you get it. :)

Meet #6, #7, #8!!

Molly, Dolly, and Polly.

Bridget was given Molly from Grandma Witte in the Hospital when she was Born.

Scarlett got Dolly for her first birthday, because she was obsessed with Molly. (see mason?)

Juliet got Polly for her first birthday as well. (but there is no picture of it)

My girls are not "attached" to their girls but love them dearly.
They truly are members of the family, they join us on road trips, and make it to bed every night.

They needed a little shout out. :)

I know what you were thinking about the title of the post...hehehe.

I Spy

Yesterday, Mason was in his room laughing and laughing so I went up there.
Nathan put him down for nap before he left so I hadn't been in Lucas's Room.

This is what I see.

This kid is so meticulous about his stuff being neat.
In fact, he won the clean desk award at school. M&M's and a cool eraser!
I guess my cleaning whims have rubbed off!
Seriously! It reminds me of this post HERE.

Anyway the reason I went into Lucas's room was to get Mason.
This is why he was laughing...

He is pulling himself to standing!

He must have been laughing at the PT's. Hahaha.

Anyway, we had dinner and then went to Krispy Kreme.
Guess what we saw there...

Pirates!
Each kid went up said a pirate joke and got a free doughnut.

Nathan also bought one for Juliet.
If you dressed up you would receive a dozen doughnuts, and I am glad we didn't do that, because then we would be tempted to eat them. One was good enough for our little family.
There were people who dressed up their whole family, even their babies to get the free dozen.
What would you do with 6-8 dozen donuts...at 6pm?
Oh well, to each their own. :)
I am glad they aren't here...because I would have had to eat them  take care of them.
