I got to use the Zone Leaders Gym - LOL

Howdy howdy everyone! It is great to get to have yet another story time with you all!

This week the craziest story of all has to be that we were finally able to put one of our friends on date, but he is the most extra person I know other than my sisters probably, so when he was like "hermanos..." I was ready to hear some rejection but then he said he would love to be baptized! We were so hyped and smiling but then he said he wanted to wait until the summer, and said its because he feels a "special spiritual connection with the sun" and after one of my companions said he wasn't gonna be here in the summer (because he leaves in April) I hopped in and said we were thinking about in the next week, not the next few months, and we literally promised him there was going to be sun on the 4th...and he was like "if it's sunny hermanos... then I will get baptized this 4th!!!" (Prayers (and rain dances) up for real please we need sun in Washington)

This week has been so spiritual, I had to give a talk on church attendance and the missionary that went before me talked about being a disciple of Christ and I threw a lot of what I had prepared out the window and talked about her talk and then how through church attendance we can be more like disciples, it was good I hope but it made me think about: How are we being disciples in our own lives? And as a missionary that is exactly what I get to do every day, find faults in people's lives, and boldly ask them to change... so the question is, what are YOU willing to do to change?

Love you all
Sincerely,
Elder Lucas Witte

Our friend is on date, and LOVES taking pictures and posting to his stories... here are some highlights!
1. Baptismal font tour

2 and 3. Pics from the temple trip we had

4 Yeah we definitely did NOT watch anime with him while teaching the plan of salvation.

5. The zone leaders gym was just this (less than 100 pounds to squat😤)

Sorry Mom, PDay got moved.

What is up everyone! P-day got moved because -- Christmas, so I hope this email finds you as good as when you find easter eggs on Easter. This week has been so interesting because our line when we met new people was "hey we have a Special Christmas Service this Sunday, want to come?" (In Spanish) and we got a ton of people to come! Then our group leader then decided to send his wife who doesn't know a lick of Spanish to give a talk, and it was in English... so this Christmas season I learned 2 things: 1. Sister Mendoza doesn't know any Spanish despite her last name and native husband and 2. That when we are born we are born with a special light, the video "the world needs your light" teaches us that we all have a little and have to share it! We watched the Christ child video last night (Elder Pebley reference) and I loved the part where even the kings, once they saw the light of the world, came to see the true king of kings. He was born, and he changed the course of the world forever!

Love you all!!
Off to talk to mi familia
Sincerely,
Elder Lucas Witte

Any casual traffic control fan KNOWS this thing is just begging a Diverging Diamond interchange (Scarlett I know you laughed at that (I did not when I had to drive it))
