Yellowstone!

I packed lunch and dinner for the day, they kids were so excited to be gone from sun up to sun down.

 Juliet ready for nap.

 Yellowstone is gorgeous!

We had a blast, and the next day - grandpa left.

It was a good trip

West Yellowstone

Sorry for the lapse in blogging. My phone broke- I had to wait for a new one to come, and then my computer broke, and the replacement came. HOPEFULLY - this will make blogging much easier since I have 2 new machines. HAHA

Before Grandpa left, we went to Yellowstone. Its seems like the thing to do when you have visitors in town because it is "so close."

So, we loaded up the car and headed over!
Our first stop was West Yellowstone (bear world)
It was a beautiful drive!
West Yellowstone, is like a museum of bears.

Except - this kind of museum has LIVE bears!

Right as we were leaving - they asked if our kids wanted to FEED the bears. Uh, YES They DO!
So they went into the refuge/exhibit area to feed the bears! WHat?!!?

Besides having an awesome experience, they also go these pins!

I will post Yellowstone tomorrow!
I still can't believe they got to do this! SO COOL,
I am sure this is a scout requirement - somewhere in there!

Grandpa visits Idaho!

The kids had no idea he was coming.
I told them we had to pick up a package at the airport. Oh man, so funny!
After that, we had a fun week.
Here are the highlights.
Cafe Rio!
 Reeds! Raspberry Truffle/Blueberry Cheesecake
The kids had a rocky road version and another chocolatey swirl of some sort.
The kids enjoyed their new jungle gym.
Lucas built a model of the temple and the church and the deseret book.
Oh and on the far left...that is the "falls" of the snake river.

Grandpa went to Lucas's recital!
His teacher is so fun! They dressed up for their songs.

The next day, we took Grandpa "downtown" to check out the falls.

Then we hit a local park for lunch.

Another time, they enjoyed climbing on Grandpa

Another day, Lucas and Grandpa made lunch together.

The girls had a water day.
That night, Grandpa took us to Chuck a Rama for dinner.
(Kids choice)

We knocked off a summer bucket list item: Hamburger Taste Off

Every day was pretty relaxed.
I had camp at my house, and school close out - but it was great for the kids to have regular time with grandpa, they haven;t seen him in over 2 years!
