8/31/21 - 310

We had our 1st day of school.  The kids had a great day.

Lucas has this trimester: Weight Training, Ceramics, Botany, Seminary, HOPE, English, and Online A2C.

Bridget has this trimester: Advisory, Earth Science, Math 8, Spanish, Strength Training, World History, Language Arts

Scarlett has this trimester: Advisory, Math 7 which will be Algebra 1 in 2 weeks, Language Arts, Spanish, Improvisational Theater, Science, and History

Juliet has Mrs. Rothwell which will be AMAZING.

Mason has Mrs. Kuharske and since everyone else has had her (minus Scarlett) we know she is a magical unicorn.

In the Library we got all of the Chromebooks out. 549 to be exact, and I am so tired.

Mason had a football game against West Jefferson where they were up 20-19 until the last :03 of the game and then West J scored and the final was 20-25 in their favor. Boo. Hiss.

Mason is 32 Just like Lucas. (heart eyes)

8/30/21 - 311

What a day.  Scarlett went to 7th grade only day at the middle school.  Lucas went to Lydia's and played pool with his girls.  Lydia, Amarah, and Camarie.  They had fun.  I wished my best teacher friend, Penny Hart a goodbye that was full of tears.  We have been 2nd grade buddies for 3 years and we talk almost every day.  We are going to miss her so much.

Lucas went to FB practice and asked me if he could go to Taco Bell with his friends. I said sure and when he came up he was dressed up.

I couldn't understand it.
Then I get this picture...
Their last hurrah of summer, I guess.
Then Lucas texts me "can we go to the temple?" umm YES!
Little did I know they would have ulterior motives...

So funny these boys.  I'm glad he was invited and included and has such a big net of different types of friends.  He isn't pigeon holed into any particular group.  I love it.

8/24-8/29 (315-309)

Grandma Joyce came to visit.  She watched 4 football games, 3 soccer games, took the girls and Claire to the mall, ate delicious food, went to Reed's and hung out with everyone while I buisly got ready for school.  She was a trooper and the kids had THE BEST time!!!

The kids were sure sad to see her go. Especially Mason.  We can't let Covid get in the way of family time!

8/23/21 - 316

The lady that cuts my hair put in a raffled item for free highlights and I thought I wrote my name down for a free hair cut, but I didn't. Well, I won and since I don't do highlights or anything like that, I thought Juliet would LOVE it.

She has mentioned before that she is worried that her blond is changing into brown and she is the blond one. That is who she is. HAHAHA

She even trimmed off another 3 inches, which makes her 2nd hair cut this summer, but who cares.
She has a lot of hair, so she got 22 foils, or whatever that means. LOL

Lucas picked her up from Hillcrest, since I had my first district meeting of the summer. IT was pretty good.

It was a good meeting, and I even remembered to have Nathan crockpot dinner early enough that we could eat at a decent hour. SCORE!

8/22/21 - 316

Our Sunday was at home. The covid numbers are raging right now in my ward and we had a Homecoming of Zerek Prince, so we watched from home in our safe little bubble.

Nathan put the doors on the cabinets, so I had to show the completed house.
This project took forever.  Partly because of Covid taking 6 months for our new windows to arrive.

Nathan moved my 6 foot picture window to the Door wall.  It fit perfectly.  We added 2 more and then got new sliders for the window wall.  We had it done correctly with permits and completely by himself.  He made sure every kid was apart of the process and it turned out beautifully.

He also built this table. It seats 14 but we have fit 16.

I think we are going to paint the table legs navy.  But, I'm not sure yet.
I will add one long cushion to the cereal bench and I think we are done! Woohoo!!!

I have to work on the FB sponsor program, so night!

8/21/21 - 316

Football Jamboree - Lucas in Sugar vs Sugar (#32)

They lost the 1st game won the 2nd.

Then we had to HUSTLE Mason to his game at Sandcreek vs. Thunder and ??

Mason is also #32.

The HS boys ended their game and came to Mason's. It was adorable.

Mason had a KILLER move on the last game and got right up to the QB. The coach said "do something dont just stand there" and Mason scrambles "You are Ugly" it took the QB off guard.  That was trash talk. HAHAHA  They meant tackle him, but, you know, 9 year olds are still learning.

Mason's team lost the 1st game and won the 2nd as well.

It was quite a day and we are all exhausted.
And I just sit here and clean up pictures and hope my camera comes by Wednesday!!!

8/20/21 -316

We spent all day at the school. We meaning Me and Nathan and Lucas, then Bridget.  I needed to hang that one last piece up and now it is a bunch of little projects.  School starts in a week and I am PUMPED!  We sneaked into Juliet's class to see what her teacher had set up for her class.  Lucas, Bridget, and Scarlett all were in this same class for 5th grade.  All different teachers, but isn't that cool?

We were supposed to have a movie night, but it ended up not happening, and Mason was so sad. I asked him what would make his day and he said McDonalds for Dinner and then playing at the new park with the new asphalt. So that is what we did.

This new park is by the HS so we could hear the FB team playing. It was actually a beautiful night and the kids had a blast. Nathan and I had Jersey Mikes and it was no good..

The girls had the best time. HAHAHAHAHA
If you asked Lucas HE had the best time because he wasn't there. I would call that too teenagery for me.

8/19/21 - 315

Today was the BEST DAY EVER!!! Lucas got his License!

It rained all day, and we had a bunch of random things going on, so he drove to and from practice.
He liked this.

He did NOT like me taking his picture. HAHAHA
He had an early practice today. 1:30-7pm so he was actually home for dinner.

Which was still leftovers from when Ryan and Veronica were here.
Lucas had a double hamburger and then took off his pads and showered.

It was go-go-go from 7am on.
It was great. The weather was cold and rainy and we loved it. (So did Our Grass)

8/18/21 -314

I had heartburn all night and had to sleep upright.  I had taken the maximum amount of medication and that was the worst idea because I had D all day and it was miserable.  I don't know what's up but I am also worried because my P is supposed to come tomorrow but I lack the parts required so what will that mean for my body?

Lucas drove the younger 3 to kicks and sticks to pick out Scarlett's soccer uniform and the smoke and the rain made the air smell terrible.  Then we tried to go to Arby's for potato cakes but they don't sell them anymore?!?!?! What?  So we went to Wendy's for fries and then they had tiny tacos for lunch.

Scarlett went to Kate's and everyone else hung out until 3:30 when I had my meeting.  Bridget went to Cheer and Mason had FB.  I didn't come home until 7. IT was a very long drawn out meeting for Saturday's activitiy. Sigh.

Juliet had a late night at Evelyn's, Bridget joined Kate and Scarlett for a late night, and it was just Mason and the parents for dinner so we enjoyed some pot pie, and then picked up Lucas at 9.

Everyone got home around 10-10:30 and then it was lights out. I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

8/17/21 - 315

I didn't take a single picture or video today.  Probably because it was an uneventful day.

Not having a dryer until tomorrow is KILLING us.  5 days is too many days to go without doing laundry. Haha.  Lucas and I went to the DMV.  I drove the route he would go so he would be less nervous.  Then it was a literal comedy of errors when we got there.  First, I paid with a check, but he only took cash.  Then, My insurance card wasn't up to date.  I called the insurance guy but he wasn't there, so I had to call Nathan to text me a picture.  Then Lucas got in the car and of course he asked about defrosting windows and Lucas had no idea because he had earned his 50 hours in the non cold months. (eyeroll) It ended up being fine and he passed the driving test, so Thursday is the written.

Scarlett had fiddle lessons, and the rest of the day we just cleaned and vegged.

The boys had practice and that was pretty much the day.

What a Sunday. NOT!

We got a call early that the Nestler's wanted to borrow the bus. Its fine.

Nathan subbed for Scarlett's class.

Lucas went to Jaxon Hansen's farewell. He loved it.

We had leftovers for dinner.

Pretty uneventful.

Then, before the Walkabout Shumway just walked into my house without ringing the door. Well, he rang as he was walking in. So bizarre.

Mason has loved his new Hillcrest Hat.

At 730pm Nathan had a meeting with the kids about helping out more, they listened and then we went to the walkabout. It was Wrights, Hedins, and Cooks. We were supposed to host too, but I'm glad I said no.

I took a huge nap, which isn't normal for me. Hopefully tomorrow is better.
