Saturday Splashing!

First, we hit up Old Navy for their $1 flip flop sale.

Then, decided to go to the Brighton Library to see their 3D printer.

The 3D printer is incredible.
They even made a chess set with it!
Lucas is holding a globe they cut in half to show what it looks like inside.

This library is similar to the one walking distance to us, but the kids liked that there were less kids there.

We spent a lot more time there than we had expected, so I ran into Walmart and grabbed something to have for lunch. We had meat and cheese roll ups and wheat thins. The kids LOVED this.

 Juliet's eyes! *sigh*

Then it was splash park time!!!

This park is close to the Library we went to.

The water collects into a river and you can play in that, and not have the sprinklers on.
Or you click a button and splash like crazy.

Sprinkler on low (above) Sprinkler on high (below)
The kids had a great time.

Every time we asked Mason if he was ready to get wet, he would quietly shake his head, no.
We asked him several times, in different ways, but he would always shake his head, no.

Nathan picked him up, put him in the water, and BAM! He loved it.

Sort of.

There was a park across the lot, so we let the kids dry off there.
We had these lovelies for dessert.

Then we came home, and I embarked on a new adventure.

That's right. It is official.
I can't believe it!

It was a great little Saturday!

Fun Week Recap!

Since Nathan is done with school YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
We have been walking to the library and going on Saturday mornings. It is wonderful.

This was from the splash pad last week...

That night,I took Bridget to a play. She loved it! We got dressed up and then it rained, and that is why my hair is well, less than desirable. LOL

My girls asked for giant grapes for lunch one day, and well - they are just silly girls.

And TODAY Lucas got an early birthday present...

Yes, those are tears in his eyes. He is so happy he gets to go to scouts now!

After the Scout Shop, every route that led to home had some sort of accident. So, I told Nathan to pull over and take us to dinner. Cheers ensued.

This English restaurant had a play area out back.

It was a fish and chips restaurant.
We ordered scallops, mushrooms, squid, and cod.

All was devoured. All was enjoyed, and we had a view of the lake.

Lucas went to bed with a HUGE smile, and can't wait until next week!

First Day of Summer!

We waited all weekend for Lucas and Bridget to get home from their camping trip with Grandma and Grandpa. Then the clouds rolled in and Juliet was skeptical that we were going to have a good time.
We try to hit as many splash parks as we can in the summer, because Idon't have to be on top of the little ones like I would at a pool. Plus, there are not many outdoor pools in Colorado. That makes me sad.

The kids jumped right in!
And then got a little too wet...

Then Nathan was just being mean...
 Just Kidding.

The kids love the park that is attatched to the water place.

Look at those clouds!

The kids missed each other so much!

These next few are compliments of a photography book I am reading.

Everywhere Mason goes, people stop and stare. He is so FLIPPIN cute!

Lucas saw 2 friends from school there. He loves seeing neighborhood kids not in the neighborhood!

Darn that Bridget!

Scarlett was a funny little one today, too!

It was such a fun day. We hurried home to get ready to go see a play. More on that tomorrow!

Rain Dance!

These are with my cell phone, but only because I was out there playing in the rain with them!!!

It just started to rain out of no where (after we went to Ward Park Day) the kids asked to go out, and I said "why, not?"

So that is what we did!

I love this next picture of Scarlett. I love her freckle-less face. I love the gap in her teeth. I love her muscular arms. and I love, love, love, that orange hair. This girl makes me smile.
The kids were laughing and having such a great time, they enticed the neighbor kids to come out and join us!

If I needed to sum Bridget up in one picture, this might be it...

Bridget's dark hair is so awesome to the other kids.
Her hair collected the rain drops like a web. It was awesome!
Bridget has a lot of friends, but none like Maddi. She is a year older and they are cute little friends.
She is the girl you call to have adventures with, or in Bridget's case - the one you get in trouble with. LOL.
The rain stopped, the sun came out and I caught these two sucking the hose for water.

It was a great day.
