Witte Weekend!

Everyone came into town for Chris's homecoming talk.  It was so nice to see everyone and eat together and be together all weekend.  So nice in fact, that I took only 20 pictures.  We had a day at the park, family pictures taken, and a double baby shower!

All of us Witte girls threw a shower for Erin and Liz. It was a fun little brunch.

Liz was given a blanket from her Great Grandmother's mother,or something. SO special!
Sister Crumpley came to celebrate with us too!

They are due 2 days apart, my sister is due 2 days after that, and we have one more niece or nephew coming this year as well!

Nathan was happy everyone was here for his birthday, and his mom's too!
It was a great time with all of the Witte's and we can't wait till all of these babies are born!

Piano Recital

Lucas had his first piano recital on Saturday.  It was sandwiched between 2 other big events so his teacher, Mrs. McRae put him first.  What was even cooler than that was that his music teacher at school, Mrs.Stout came to the recital. She came to see Lucas and Sarah (two of her Elementary students) and we thought that was so neat.

Since there are no pictures in the chapel, I took some before the performance.

He wasn't nervous at all. He memorized 2 pieces of music that he thought were too easy.

 Here is what he played:

After the recital (we had to leave early due to another obligation) we took Lucas to get a blizzard.
He thought that was pretty cool.

PS-He is totally embarrassed  about how his video turned out.
Haha.

Juliet's chop!

Her hair was perfect length for pony tails, pigtails, braids, you name it. But, it was still that time to cut it off.
It had been a little over 6 months since we cut it last.  I like to cut their hair short until they are about 4. It helps with growth, and evening, and who doesn't love a bob?

I was sad to cut the blond off, (did I really say that?) but it was just all over the place.

They took 4 inches off and it is CUTE!  She now looks even more like Olivia (my friends daughter)
Luckily, she has that chin to link her to the rest. :)

She loves it too!
I just slip a clip in, and she is good to go!

I hope it turns brown soon. She has the best toddler hair of any of the girls. It is so thick and shiny.
Scarlett's was curly and crazy and Bridget's took forever to fully come in.

While I was taking these outside, Mason was being silly inside.  Bridget put the hood on and he would tuck just his ears out.

What a character! My cute little elf.

One more of my little cutie with her new big girl hair cut.

When did this happen?
They grow up so fast!

Baseball Game Day #2

Believe it or not,we actually had good enough weather to play!

This was from 2 weeks ago, because last weekend the fields were too wet to play on.

Lucas's first position was catcher.

He absolutely loved catcher. He was really good at it too!

Then, Lucas was at bat.

Still a lefty.

He made it to second base on that hit!

Then he was on third base.

That kid was out!

Another kid out!

If they were playing a "real" game, the other team wouldn't have scored because Lucas kept stopping them at third.

His team won both games and Coach Brian was pumped!

Lucas told us that instead of trying out for the swim team this summer, he would rather play baseball until its time for second grade. (all summer)

I am pretty excited for our summers at the ball park.
So are the other parents on the team, because I have been giving them pictures of their kids too. Haha.

Another Birthday

Nathan made the cake, the kids delivered it we ate it first thing in the morning.

They serenaded me, and then asked ME some questions.
Scarlett - What's your favorite animal?  Giraffe!
Bridget - What's your favorite sport? Swimming!
Lucas - What is your favorite thing in school? Science!
Juliet - What is your favorite food? Spinach and Swordfish!
Mason - Who is your favorite kid?  Phil! They laughed and laughed, and then I told them I don't have a favorite (of course)

I didn't see the kids most of the day, and at night Nathan took them to the school movie night, and I had a kid free day.  I love my itty bitty Witte's, but having a day alone was glorious.

I had my own dinner, watched my own movies, and no one asked me for anything ALL day!
I'd say that it was a pretty awesome gift. Nathan is luckier than me because his whole family will be here on his birthday, and he really likes them, so good for him. J/K.

Shortly after I wrote this post...I tripped over the printer cord that was connected to my laptop and it went FLYING. I got a new laptop for my birthday shortly after that. :)

I have pictures, but I have to wait till it arrives on Tuesday to get them off of my dead laptop. :(

Music Showcase

Lucas's school had a Music Showcase this week. His Music teacher is incredible! She has such passion and love for her job and it bleeds into those kids. Lucas loooooves Mrs. S and hopes to be in the play next year.

Even Mrs. H (Lucas's teacher) couldn't resist and stayed for the performance.

We were mice and the class were frogs.

This was part of the play. I just thought it was cute.

This is one of my most favorite classes at the school.
It is so colorful and inviting!

We (the parents) were able to play some music games with the kids, and I spotted this!

YES! A Glockenspiel!

That is Mrs. S dancing with the kids.

Here is a mini video, Lucas was so excited for us to be there.
