Sick Lucas Still Performs

He was so sick, drugged...and yet is still a ham!

Asian Night @ Our House

We are doing a date night swap with Ryan and Veronica so that the boys can play together and we can go on dates. Ryan and Veronica went out for the month of February and we hosted Asian night for Lucas and Noah. Enjoy the slide show....

Dinner at the Wittes

Usually consists of a meat, 2 veggies, a piece of bread of some sort, Bridget grunting for food, Lucas stealing food and Nathan telling me every spice he can taste. No seriously, he does this.

Before you click on the video I must STRESS that today Lucas was majorly channeling Ruffio from the movie Hook with Robin Williams. Here is a short video if you don't remember... Stephanie, remember Ruuu - fi - o, Ruuu - fi - o!

Now Dinner with the Wittes:

He is just like...

ME! he took some then tried to figure it out! :)

Since Nathan bought me my new amazing camera for Christmas (I got it before Bridget was born 11-8-07) we had the old Sony just laying around. Lucas decided it was his new toy. Who cares, it had been thrown around and taken so many places it didn't really matter. Well, this is what came out. His assignment was to take pictures of things he likes....

This is "fast car" ..................This is "choo-choo" ................This is "bi-git"

after every picture he took he would say cheese, he is working on his photographic skills, this collection we will call "The finger." HAHAHA At least he is consistent and at least Bridget is one of his favorite things! Some other pictures that didn't make the cut were my feet, the toilet, the stairs and the diaper pail. Sorry folks, you will just have to wait till next time! Hehehehe

This says it all....

He truly is the greatest! Lately I haven't wanted to get out of bed on Saturdays, since I have to get up just as early as him to drop him off at the bus stop during the week. So this morning I finally get up to take him to the bus stop and he made all of us eggs and toast! I am so lucky! He is nerdy, but he is mine all mine! Hahahaha

The Hats from G'ma Joyce

I just love how little Bridgee is growing up. After a nap and a "biiiiiite" Nathan, Lucas and Bridget went outside to pull the weeds, and dead plants because the Tulips are starting to pop out of the ground! Yea! I put Bridget's hat on and of course Lucas wanted his on too! Thanks Grandma for getting 2 hats! Lucas would have been so jealous! If you are wondering where I was, I was inside making Black-eyed susans and White-eyed wilmas (cookies) YUMMY!

Recipe HERE
these pics don't do them justice but they are DELISH!

World of Wonder

We went to the World of Wonder Museum with Ryan Veronica and Noah

It was so fun here is the slide show!

This picture does it for me though...

This is the incredible man that I married...teaching Lucas about magnets, holding a drooling Bridget, carrying my Diaper Bag and Veronica's, (big sigh) he is the greatest!

Fancy Pants

There is something to be said about a toddler that can follow directions...

Lucas was being a punk this morning so I told him to go upstairs and go get dressed. He jumped at the task that was given to him. He ran upstairs and was making a lot of noise in his room. Instead of checking on him I ordered him to make sure he had shoes on before he came down. I said you need to make sure you look good because we are going to Target. After I said that he ran into my room laughing and giggling in a shirt that was half on. I waited, I waited and then I hear "I need help!" I said with what and he comes down the stairs in this years new spring collection. He said "tie tie tie" so I tied his tie (which is one of Nathan's pre-Val ugly ties that has now become dress up clothes) He laughs at me and is adjusting the sandal on his left foot. I ran and grabbed the camera, because no one would believe that this is what HE chose to wear:

A navy blue rugby shirt with yellow and white stripe across the chest. LONG SLEEVE

Brown, green and white plaid SHORTS, that are too big.

Daddy's UGLY coral tie.

One brown sandal.

One navy tennis shoe.

and one CHEESY Face!

Now the long sleeve and shorts combo is from Daddy's High School look. But the rest I just don't know....

Maybe this is the new thing? Does any one have Ralph Lauren's phone number? Maybe Lucas could be on his payroll for new up and coming looks?

*Note***the only thing that Lucas neglected to tell me was that he had messy pants, so we had to get undressed to prevent rash on the heiny...sp?

Valentines Day!

We woke up to 3 inches of snow and this on the Porch Milk Box (we get our milk delivered)

It is a Valentine's Day treat from Lucas's Nursery Teacher at Church. Isn't that so nice? He loves Andi Mickelson. He loves Ken her husband a little bit more, probably because he is a boy, but oh well. I think that is so nice. Lucas just wanted to come inside and eat his pancakes and sauce. (syrup)

Its a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood....

....would you be my neighbor? Hahaha Oh Mister Rodgers.... Anyway. It was a beautiful 67 degree Colorado day today. For February that is awesome. We walked to the neighborhood park and played for 2 hours. It was really nice. Lucas had the pleasure of doing what most boys like to do which is pee on a tree. We haven't really started potty-training but he will tell me when he has to go, and today it happened to be at the park. He wouldn't go in his diaper so we went in a tree which was "oooh" in his words. Forget the shower of urine that I got, at least he went right? Here are some pictures...
He has some intense eyebrows! She was mad that I caught her trying to wiggle out of the carseat.
He was so determined to do it all himself, remind you of anyone?

Confused and Worried all with one eyebrow! Playing with Ali in the rocks, they are buds.

I love Matching Sundays!

....
I think I am just going to post every Sunday, because I just can't get enough of the matching pictures! Serioulsy Lucas kissed Bridget all on his own. I didn't even have to ask him to do it! CRAZY! Look at my cute kids! Go ahead! :)
.....
They will probably hate me in a few years, but until then, I'm doing it, I can't help it. I'm obsessed!
.....

Lazy Day

It was a beautiful day, and so we put the kids to sleep and well....they crashed. Bridget sleeps best when the blanket is over her face and Lucas sleeps best when he has a lot of pillows around him...see below:

as you can see they both sleep with one arm extended...that's a Nathan thing....

Anyway-after we knew there was no waking them we cleaned out the garage, when I say we, I mean Nathan, dirt and webs are gross! Since we have no vehicle it was pretty easy to clean out the garage.

Once Lucas was awake it was only a few minutes until Bi-get was frightened, I mean awakened. So we went outside and Lucas got to play with a firetruck that Adrienne gave us and he was all about figuring it out.

Man we love this kid!

3 Months Already?!?!?!

I can't believe our little Bridget, Bridgey-Lou, Bi-git, and Bridgey is 3 months (yesterday). She really is turning into the beautiful little princess Nathan was afraid of! Hahaha she is so quiet, and happy, and a GREAT sleeper. She loves to sit up and watch Lucas beat her up, haha no I am kidding. She likes to just watch Lucas be Lucas, while sometimes getting smacked in the process. She smiles and laughs and thinks rolling over is pretty fun!

Pizza Party!

We had Noah over for a little pizza party. We were going to paint, but Lucas had a melt down because he needed his nap but just couldn't stop playing!

Lucas having a great time sprinkling and eating the cheese!

Noah and his silly face!

A Romantic Evening for Two...

...romantic? If you call looking for a new mini van romantic, then yes, it was...very....
Well, that is what we did first before we went out to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary! It is weird to think that I have been married for 3 years. Nathan would say it is his average...to those of you who know what I mean! Hahahahaha We went to downtown Denver, which is where our first date was, and I begged Nathan to take me somewhere I have never been. Maggiano's is great (our first date) and Cheesecake Factory is great (our second date) but I really wanted something different. So he delivered, and boy did he deliver! He took me to Marlowes YUMMY

Our Appetizer was the Fresh Jonah Crab Stuffed Giant Mushrooms, Oven roasted fresh Jonah crab stuffed giant mushrooms, Sun-dried tomato pesto we ate it too fast to take a picture of it.
Nathan had the 8 Ounce Organic Frenched Porkchop Pan roasted, arugula-feta stuffed, goat cheese-fusilli bucati corti pasta, chili drizzle (middle) and I had the Surf and Turf...Lobster Tail and 4oz. Filet Mignon Char grilled, German potato cake, green peppercorn demi glace, chive-caper creme fraiche (Right)
Then we went to the Witte's to pick up the kids and Lucas says "Mommy!" and then "Daddy!" like yea you are back. It really ended the night on a happy note! :) He always seems to make my day!

We Love Books!

I have been collecting children's books since I was in High School. Sad I know, but I am borderline obsessed with books. Thankfully, I married a man who understands my need to stop at the kids section where ever we go, whether it's Target, or Barnes and Noble, it doesn't matter I have to see what's new, and exciting. I don't like just any one type, but they have to meet a certain criteria, for example, they have to have great illustrations, they have to have a good out loud read sound for example, if I were to read it to a class, it would have to flow correctly, and if at all possible it must rhyme. I used to not like board books, just because the stories were lame, or it was just too plain, but while I was teaching I fell in love with Sandra Boynton, and thankfully Lucas has too. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her. He likes that I read it like it should be read with tons of expression, and lots of laughter! These are our daily reads...

I really enjoy reading books to Lucas and Bridget doesn't like me to read to her yet but she does like Lucas to read to her....

In this picture, Lucas is reading Bridget a book about Easter, but you get the point! Hehehe. Another set of books that I really enjoy reading to Lucas are the Click Clack series. They are hillarious and I usually let Lucas say the sounds like "Click, Click, Moo" when it's time to read them.

If you ever need a good book reccomendation, ask me! I own over 300 children's books and that number IS going to go up! I read about 10-12 books to Lucas and Bridget...if she is awake everyday.
