What a Weekend!

First, Mason decided that he was ready to potty train.
I said no. He insisted, and did this himself.

He lasted until 3 and then after two bowel movements in the toilet, asked for some pants.
That was when I put the diaper back on. He was mad, but there was much too much going on in the back yard.

The neighbors were pouring new concrete, so we redid the fence. It was a win, win!

While the entire neighborhood was in my backyard watching the fun, I was inside baking away...

I made 2 apple slab pies.

We fed 2 sets of missionaries and because of this I had to make a bunch of bread. This was so much fun.

My class on Sunday performed for 5th Sunday, and they were a hit.
The lesson was on Reverence, so we decided to be animals that can't go to primary because they are not reverent. Haha.

Then Lucas wrote this gem for his spring break hw assignment at school.

This kid it so funny. He is growing so much I have to keep buying him pants. The problem is his long legs.

It was after this picture that we introduced him to Family Matters

Oh man. What a weekend. :)
P.S. our fence and their patio look great!
P.P.S. I am not potty training Mason until the summer.

Spring Break Fun (again)

Today started out with eye appointments for Bridget and Mason.
They were excellent, and Mason's eyes look great.
his retinas are looking clear and good for a preemie.
Bridget has a problem with one eye, and has a prescription only on that side (Just like her mama)
her new glasses should come next week and the eye patches fixed her strabismus, and now she needs the glasses to strengthen that eye. It is a minimal corrective lense, so she should only need them a year or so!

After that, we went to the park for lunch. It was a beautiful day.

Then we came home and rode bikes.

Climbed trees, and waited for Nathan to came home.
Juliet is wearing Bridget's FAVORITE shirt when she was this age. Bridget is wearing her new favorite shirt. They loved that they were both brown and matching.

I can't say it enough. Our days are so chill now. I feel so lucky.

Spring Break Fun!

Yesterday, the kids went to several friends houses. Lucas went to a boy in his class's house and I took the kids to a ladies house in the ward, who has kids the same ages as my younger 3. There was also a few other moms there with kids so it was nice for Bridget to have friends to play with too.
The kids had a great time and were able to make their own pizzas. Yahoo!

Today, Nathan came home at 1pm and we took the kids bowling.
It has been a long time since we have been,  2011 HERE and HERE

It was so much fun this time. I am really enjoying having "older" kids.
They are all so independent and have their own opinions and I just LOVE it.

Mason is amazing. He would pick up the 6 pound ball, walk it over to Nathan, and then lift it on to the bars.

Then he would scream YAY when it went down.
Juliet loved bowling too. She would jump and clap till the pins were hit!

 Nathan explaining technique to Bridget.

The kids noshed on popcorn and sprite. They thought that was pretty awesome. Juliet loved the swinging chairs a little too much.
When we do things together as a family, I see how much Jules and Bridge are so alike.
 A SPARE!

Nathan loved bowling a few frames too.

What a fun afternoon. The kids had so much fun.

Museum of the Month: Children's Museum

The other day Nathan had to go to court to fight a ticket he didn't deserve. He won,by the way.
Since he got home right when the kids were walking home from school, we decided to hit up the Children's Museum!

The kids were pretty excited!

We loaded up the car and got there in record time.
We lined the kids up on the parking lines to go over the rules
(which is what we always do when we go out in public)

Then it was time to go in!

Firetrucks first. I thought this was 5 year old Lucas at first. (But it is Scarlett)  :)

 There is Lucas.
He is getting too big for the dress up jackets. Haha. My kids love imaginary play.
Bridget is back there.
 Mace down the fire pole.
Then we up to the train room. Mason's favorite place.

While the littles were in the train room, the older kids were building stuff.
Then we went to the kitchen/store.
Nathan was assisting on the builds.

After that,Lucas stayed in the building zone, and the rest of us went in the bubble lab.
Lab coats and goggles, even upside down were required.

Then the kids went to the habitats and dressed as creatures. Here is B the model Beaver.
Lucas was done with his build.
In the Art Room! Look! I was there!
We saved the best for last...the Ball Room.

Lucas is growing so much, this is his 3rd pair of shoes this year. He is now in a 4.
For reference, Nathan wears a 9.5 and I wear an 11 in men (13 in womens)

Before leaving we went to the space room.
some of us were out of control in there...
It was such a beautiful day, the babies led the way to the park where we played a little longer.

What a fun day.
I am glad we went in the afternoon.
