Hallow-ween

Let's do this!

First we talked about Trick or Treating Safety, then we let them go!

We started at 6pm. Our street starts at 6 for kids under 5. Which was perfect because the sky was beautiful.

I was even able to wear a T-Shirt!

See these skies?
Gorgeous!

We trick or treated with each other and visited with a bunch of people from our ward.
Our street is so awesome, people drive to us! LOL

There were 2 haunted houses, and one bubble fog house that was so cool!

This is Maddy. She lives across the street.

Juliet was done and ready to eat. She even put her own shoes on by herself!

*Sigh*
I love Colorado Halloweens!

Juliet was done with her twizzler and gave it to Mason.

The kids waited and waited to see Fireman Brian, and finally he came home.
He high fived the kids and then we took a picture of him and Addison.

She is exactly a week younger than Mason.
She was full term. They are going to be cute little friends!

It was a perfect night, and the kids hit the sack pretty early.
YES!

Happy Halloween!
Next Major Holiday : Bridget's 5th Birthday!

Leaves

This was on our list for October. There were a few other things but, we had to cancel them due to croup. My kids don't get ear infections, strep, colds, or the flu, but - they DO get croup.

We have been in the house for the past several days.
We even went to church for the primary program, but it went downhill fast.
We didn't even make it to Noah's birthday because of the sickness.

I hate croup.
I feel like a failure because there is nothing to give them.
We tried the onion trick, and it worked! Everyone is better and back to school today.
A few days ago we enjoyed the leaves.

So, here is the obligatory leaves post.

I asked Nathan to rake a fun path for the kids to run in.

 They loved it!
I think we are going to do this again when it snows!

Then, the six year old made it clear we were out there to jump, so he started to rake a heap.

Mason was so into the leaves. He loves to be outside so it is really no surprise,
he would love to be in the action.

Off he goes!

Juliet thinks she is a big kid.

Our tree is one of the last ones on the street to lose it's leaves.

It is also one of the biggest producers of leaves.

See? It is still not even CLOSE to being done!

Sometimes I wonder how I agreed to marry this fashion forward man. LOL

Time to JUMP!

Time to Throw!

Look at me!

Aww, Thanks Scarlett!

Juliet decided she was done, so Lucas told everyone it was time to clean up.

And clean up we did.
Until next week when we have to do it again, because there is still a bazillion leaves still on the tree.

30. Ward Halloween Party/Chili Cook Off

This year, our family dressed up as Team USA.

I liked them all, so here they are. Hahaha.

Of course, they had to bite their medals. :)

Mace couldn't decide between the leaves or the medal.

The leaves won! Lucas crying about the sun.

Juliet in the slam leaves to the ground event.

We packed up and went to the church to set up and help.

This was the first time I was able to eat at the Chili Cook Off!
The kids had fun and there was even a Great Pumpkin Presentation.

It was a fun event. There was no trick or treating, just bags for the kids to take after the Pumpkin Carols and the Great Pumpkin Presentation.

I haven't seen anyone else as Team USA.
I thought we were pretty clever this year!
