Witte Ceremony

It was an extremely warm day today. But, the kids were ready to be a part of the wedding!
There were even extra spectators there! hehehe.
Thomas, Erin, Liz, and Cory.
Noah, Sydney, Juliet, and Mason sat in the shade while Scarlett, Bridget, Lucas and Elijah were ready to go!

The bridesmaids.

Bishop Sturgell performed the ceremony. It was beautiful.

Bridget and Ben sharing a moment before the many pictures were taken. :)
All the nephews and nieces.
Noah 6, Lucas 5, Bridget 4, Elijah 4, Scarlett 3, Sydney 18 months, Juliet 1, Mason 6 months.

Happy Wedding Day Bin and Donyelle!

Many reception pics to follow tomorrow!

Witte Rehearsal

It was really, really, really hot today.
At one point the car said it was 108, in Colorado!

We took the kids to REI today before the rehearsal, to "cool off" but they don't have air conditioning in REI.
You read that right. No AC!
The kids still had a fabulous time.
This was in the car! ICK!
They had these cool swiss army clocks all around the entrance.
The kids were under Mt. McKinley!
The kids enjoyed the climbing wall. Well, looking at it. :)
Juliet by the sleeping bags.
Nathan and I could spend a small fortune in REI. We love all things camping!
They had a backpack demo. The kids enjoyed that.
They told the sales man that the backpacks were JUST like their 72 hour kits at home!
He was so confused. ;)
We played around some more and then we grabbed a map and headed out.
 I love Denver!
Here we are walking the plank. It was really hot so I got the kids some water.
(I tried to get a good picture of us - really to show off my 64 pound weight loss -
I will have to actually take some good ones later. )
The kids were such troopers. But then it happened.
Bridget wasn't feeling herself and puked right in the walkway!
I think the heat just got to her. She was miserable.

Getting a smile out of this girl was so hard after that. She threw up 4 more
times and was just so sad about it.
Mason on the other hand was all smiles.
 Here are the girls baskets.
Here is the ring bearer's pillow. Cindy made it!
The kids looked over the water but Bridget was still sad.
Danielle (bride) and Gary her dad.
We left to get in the cool area, but Bridget just sat. There was a playground, and she just hung out. :(
She didn't complain, just looked like this. Poor baby girl.

After that, we headed out to La Loma for dinner.
 Bridget fell asleep. :/
(can you tell I need new clothes? Hahaha)
 Liz and Cory!
Lucas and Erin. They had a great time together. Lucas said his favorite part of the night was giving a toast.
Which he did! After Bridget woke up, she was back to her sassy self. She even ate dinner and was roaring to go. At La Loma they make tortillas there. The kids liked watching that.

 Groom, Goose, and Bride.
Juju and her birthday twin! Erin.

Mace on the floor totally passed out.
Mason and Liz. They have the same eyes. Well, not in this picture. :)

It was a fun night with great company and food.
The kids were fast asleep before we even left the parking lot!

Witte Family Dinner

We have been so busy prepping for all things Witte this week.
Tonight was the first night of the many festivities ahead.

Ben (Groom) smoked pork, and we had a fun dinner at the Witte's together.
I made dessert. A lot of dessert. More on that later.

One thing my children especially look forward to is their Aunts and Uncles.
They love Auntie Wiz, Uncle Cory, Auntie Erin, Uncle Jared, Auntie Donyelle, and Uncle Bin.
When we see them, it usually means wrestle time!

 What is not to love?
We love them and miss them, and realize everytime we see them, how much we need them.
Juliet found this satanic giggle toy.
Dinner was ready!

Most of the kids.  (5 of the 8 grandkids) Minus Sydney and Mason and Juliet.
These kids had a great time playing. We hardly saw them all night, they just went out and played and snagged dessert along the way. It is great to not have to be on top of them (anymore) because they are all grown up-ish.
Sydney and I had a moment. She is such a character.

This is after the prayer. Juliet said Amen!

This was the last time we saw her ... clean.

We enjoyed each others company, the food and the dessert.
 Snickerdoodles, Brownies, and Cookie Cups.
Mmmm.

While we were laughing and teasing and having a good time out back, we heard a boom.
Juliet walks over to us, and lets out this HUGE scream. (letting us know she was MAD)

We look over and she was covered in MUD!
Danielle's mom took her, held her and helped clean her up.
Apparently she climbed up to the table to get a cup, slid under it and just couldn't get out of the mud.
She was dry, but filthy.
It was so sad, but so cute!

On our drive home we were talking about how much we love family, and how much fun we have when we are together. Even though Nathan's family are spread out, and SO different, they love him (and us) so much.
Oh, and the we love them all so much too!
