Spring Break Day 3

First thing this morning we went to Colorado Mills. We had a few reasons to go.
Scarlett needed a replacement treasure. Shortly after she got her, (last March), she "frowed up" all over her. So, we got her and a couple new outfits.
There is another reason we went to Build-A-Bear, but I will get into that tomorrow.

 Next, was the Lego Store.
Lucas has saved for a few sets, and wanted to see them in person before he bought them.

Then a suprise ride on a carousel.

Then Garbanzo's (greek) for lunch.

Then I snapped this beautiful picture of my blue eyed babe.

After our Colorado Mills experience, we met Uncle Chris and almost Aunt Kelley at Boondocks.

Nathan watched the little kids in the jungle gym/kid zone, and the older 3 went outside for some driving fun.

The kids absolutely loved this, and while Chris and Kelley and Scarlett were in the big cars, Lucas and Bridget were cheering so crazily that the other drivers were laughing.

Then,we went back in to play more games.

We love Uncle Chris and almost Aunt Kelley so much! We can't wait to come back in July for their wedding! Nathan and I think they are a lot like us, so we are extra happy about this particular union. Hehehe.

Spring Break, day 1 and day 2

We left at 3:30am, the kids were so excited, it didn't take much cajoling to get them up and into the car. If it weren't for Denver traffic we would have made it in 9 hours. That is how long it should take.

Anyway, the kids were so excited to see everyone. I went to Penzey's with my MIL and we went to the store, and had a delicious spaghetti dinner.

The next morning, we were out the door at 8am. We went to target, and then to downtown city!

The kids wanted to see the capitol building, so, we passed by there.
We drove over to the bird refuge. Zoom in on this picture, there are some crazy nests.
Then we asked the kids if they wanted to go to the zoo or the DNSM, 4 out of 5 said the science museum, sorry Scarlett.

We took our time, and the kids really enjoyed it.
We gave them more freedom. Once we went to one room, the older 2 split and did their own thing and met us at the exit when they were done. They really enjoyed the chance to see what they wanted.
But, the most favorite exhibit, by far, was the Discovery Zone. (the NEW kids area)

Mason even touched an African Hissing Cockroach Beetle. GROSS
We also enjoyed the mythical creatures exhibit.
After almost 5 hours at the museum, we went out for a Korean lunch. It was FANTASTIC.
Scarlett loved the smells.

Then we hung out at home, and by miraculous happenings everyone was able to come over for dinner.

The kids LOVED seeing their cousins early!

It was a fun day. I would have taken a picture of Max, but he was having stranger danger.
He was wanting mom and dad all night.

***Sunday***

We took the kids to Faversham.

Something we collectively miss about Colorado, are the abundance of parks.
After a goose poop incident, we changed and came home for grilled cheese. We watched a movie, and then made dinner for the family. It was a good day!
