What has been happening 2020 - Covid-19

So much has happened over the past two weeks. March 9-13, 2020

Week 1 - a crazy blur.  The world is panicked about Corona Virus, the east coast is closing down and sweet little Idaho has no cases. Memes, texts, FB posts all joke about this and we are happy little campers in our rural area.  Nathan and I decide to get another chrome book on Wednesday so we go to Sams Club. Things seem busy, but nothing out of the ordinary. People were freaking out about Toilet paper, so we grabbed one package no big deal. Head out to Walmart because Sam's did not have the one we want. It was a normal Wednesday night. March 11th.

Thursday March 12th - There is mass panic in the area because Colorado and Utah have closed schools and the outbreak is bad. We start running out of supplies in Idaho because people panic. We still think we are going on our Spring Break trip because, it isn't bad where we are. (so foolish on our part)

Friday March 13th - Our School Board decides to have a meeting. Idaho has one case and people are panicking even more. Our trip got cancelled and now we realize that we don't have basic things like milk because we were planning on being gone.  This was a non-school day. GOLDEN FRIDAY for me. I got to go to a huge Library conference. It was glorious!

Saturday March 14th - We were able to get most things and feel pretty good about life.

Sunday March 15th - Or Superintendent says we are going to close Wed- Spring Break because we are up to 3 cases. More people have anxiety.

Monday March 16th - I have my 7 classes. I teach them how to use overdrive and a few other things. We have a meeting after school, President Trump announces 10 or less in a room at a time, social distancing and what have you, and now...school is closed until March 30th.

Tuesday March 17th - No students, teachers and staff only. We collaborate, we laugh and cry about what is to come of the school year. We are up to 11 cases.

Wednesday March 18th - No students, lather, rinse, repeat from yesterday.

Thursday March 19th - Today. Today we were advised to not go back to school for the rest of this year.
My kids cried. Poor Bridget doesn't get to do any of the 6th grade traditions that our school does. Lucas's 8th grade year is weird and he didn't get to do the High School stuff yet.  I didn't get to have my Library-palooza that I have been working on for months. Things are weird.

Things I feel okay/pretty good about...
Homeschooling - my kids are goal-oriented, they will be FINE working on their own stuff from home, and we all know I am going to supplement like I already do now.
Being Quarantined - I love the people I'm stuck with.
My husband's job (he has worked from home full time for 5 years so this is nothing)
My husband's travel schedule - is banned until July.

Things that worry me...
My beloved job. I don't know how I am going to be a Teacher Librarian at school.
My friends. Not seeing them?
My husband - It is hard to conference when we have 5 people being louder than the silence he is used to. LOL
