6 dates! (part 2 of 3)

When our kids turn 6 they get 6 dates. This is better than presents, or anything else, because those dates are WITHOUT any other kids! But, what usually happens is that the birthday person feels bad for their siblings and ends up inviting them to something. That happened with Lucas, and it actually did with Bridget as well. Which totally surprised me because she loves to have all of the attention, all of the time.

Date ONE!
Special Breakfast

Date TWO
Charming Charlies!
Seriously a dream come true for this little girl!
Me, not so much.

My sister suggested that I have Bridget ask someone to help her because I hate all that stuff, and this guy Braynson tiptoes on over. He had a higher pitched voice and kind of a different walk than Bridget was used to and she whispered to me "that guy is fabulous!" I asked what do you mean and she said "you know like those people who say 'that's so fabulous' on fashion shows.
*sigh* So innocent.

GiGi picked the perfect gift for the Bridgey Girl.

Date THREE
Monkey Business. She felt it wouldn't be fair to go to a place that everyone would love, so all the kids came for this one. :)

It was such a fun day with my Goose.
I thought the kids would be jealous, but they know their time is coming...I mean the next birthday is in like 3 weeks. In the Witte's house it is always a party (birthday) or just random fun.

Her B-Day! (part 1 of 3)

Bridget was thrilled to FINALLY have her 6 dates!

She woke up yesterday and saw a bunch of presents on the table and was just sitting on her bed waiting, waiting, waiting, to open them.

So, it started out with one, and well, we just couldn't stop there!

The one thing Bridget really wanted...

 She literally screamed and squealed!

We took her a few places, and then walked her to school.
Bridget was SO excited to go to school on her birthday. This was the treat she brought...

I love that the school is close enough to walk.

 So do the little kids.

We had a whirl wind of a day, I made shrimp and fries for dinner (her choice)
and then ice cream cake for dessert!

I can't wait to post about what we did for her birthday the past 2 days!
Tomorrow!

But a video!

Mason is just a crack up.

Bridget is 6!

Can you believe it?
I sure can't!

I mean, it feels like the time has passed, but at the same time I still see this awesome chunky baby:

It has been fast and great, but a little sad too.

With Bridget growing up, it means the rest of the hoodlums are too.

Lucas has always been the oldest, and older, but Bridget although mature, is still my cute squishy baby girl.

Some things never change with Bridget. She has always loved to be fully dressed:

She has always been adventurous:

She has always been mothering/caring/loving:

And so much more. But this year she has really branched out and become a young lady.
She has so many friends, and has so much to say, and is extremely helpful.
With that - she is also my hardest, meaning she fights me the most. ;)

I am so proud to be her mother, and feel very lucky that she is ours...for now.
Because she has already told me SEVERAL times, when she is married to Robert, or Ian, or Luke...she is going to be the boss, and ruin her own kids lives. LOL

*sigh* oh Bridget.

A Baptism

Nephew/Cousin Noah was the first Witte (in a long line of Witte grand kids) to get baptized.

So we got all gussied up and headed down to Arvada.

We met up with our favorite Wittes...
Watched the Baptism, took some fun pictures,  played in the leaves, and headed over to Noah's birthday party.

I love these boys and their friendship so much.
Picture two extremely logical boys who enjoy reading and playing Legos, and Nintendo.
Sounds like most 7/8 year old boys, except these two are so sweet and kind hearted too!
The only real difference is the inch of height they fight over every couple of months.

Halloween

I didn't charge my battery, so this was pretty much all I got from last night. Oh well!

It was cold, so Mason and Scarlett went as lost boys with recycled costumes from previous years.

It was a fun night! Happy to have Halloween put away and move on to Thanksgiving and Christmas!
