School Christmas Parties Continued

That was Bridget's Class.

As I said before, classroom parties are a serious business at this school.

The room mother puts several helpers to work so that there are at least 5 stations for the kids to go to.

 Scarlett above!

 And there are snacks galore.

3rd grade is not exempt from the activities. All the way up to 6th, they have something going on!

This is Scarlett and her pal, Hyrum. Hyrum has a brother named Treyden in Lucas's class and they are all 4 great friends. They also live 4 houses down, so when it is nice enough to play, that is usually where my 2 gingersnaps are hanging out.

Scarlett is in a no girl phase. She will only play with boys. Not because she "likes" them, but because the girls are not like her good friend E in Colorado. This time will pass. She will get over it, she does think the boys like to "play" more than the girls do, so we will see what she ends up doing this summer. :)

Mason is 3! Yes 3!

Mason is 3 (tomorrow) We celebrated today to kick off our December!
3 Donuts, 3 candles,

Paw Patrol is the best show ever. Puppies and Community Helpers? Yes please! Lucas would have loved this show if it was onwhen he was little.

Auntie Steph knew just what to get. "3 cars cause I'm 3!"

Finally, the whole gang!

He asked for a hoop and bassaball.
So Grandma Witte picked an adjustable height, over the door hoop.

For dinner he asked for Meat. Meat? Yep, Meatballs.
I just love this kid to death. He is such a handsome and carefree boy. More on him tomorrow.

Week of Goodbyes! - 6375 and neighbors!

We will miss so many things. Our house, which was a great size and never had any horrific issues.

Our neighbors, and our friends. I brought all my babies home to this house, and each room has been painted at least twice. Hehehe.

Our first meal in this house was KFC sandwich stackers which had just come out at the time, and Nathan was so late coming home from work (when he used to work in the hospitals) so he grabbed a bunch on his way home. It was fitting to have KFC for dinner as our last meal.

Our house sold! 20 days from when we put it on the market, to the day we closed on the house.
It was under contract in 28 hours with multiple offers. We got more than asking and love the people who bought our house! Also, the wife was at the Adams State football game where I was hit head first in the pelvis by 2 football players!!! Small world!

Here is a better tour of the house

We feel extremely blessed to have this all happen so quickly.

We will miss E, everyone's favorite Hampson.

And Maddie and Amelia, our across the street neighbors.

It was nice to spend our first and last night in the house just as we started, without children.
I teared up a little, but we are SO HAPPY to move on! Woot!

Continuation/Graduation/Last Day

Scarlett had her program yesterday and Bridget had hers today.
And,it was the last day of school!

We just love Mrs. McDonald! Scarlett had a great year and can't WAIT for Kindergarten!

***
Cindy graciously helped me with S, J, and M for B's ceremony. Nathan couldn't go, because he is taking the next 2 weeks off for vacation, and camp.
Scarlett's teacher next year is the one in the middle. B's teacher is the one with the microphone.
Cindy and the littles. Scarlett was able to sit with the Kinder Class and she loved that.

Bridget was so happy to be done with Kindergarten. She made a lot of friends and learned a bunch of things, but she really wants to be in 1st grade. It might have something to do with eating lunch at school. LOL

Lucas had such a great teacher this year. He has also grown in many ways, one being height.

Even though these two weren't in the same class, they are still great friends.

Lucas has jumped over 100 lexile points this year, and has started making fact journals for science things he is interested in. (all on his own) We found out that his teacher submitted one of Lucas's science fact journals to the 3rd grade to use for next year at another school. He was pretty excited about that.

How did my kids grow up so fast?
It is going to be so weird only having 2 kids at home in August!

The next two weeks are going to be jam-packed of fun, and then my big fat summer to do list can begin.
I think I am not in the norm, when I say I am excited to have my kids with me all summer. I am mostly happy to not be a slave to the schedules and driving here and there, that the school year brings, but I would never trade it for something else. That is part of having kids who are involved and active, I suppose.

Mothers Day!

from Bridget.  Scarlett made a cute magnet, and Lucas wrote a very thoughtful sonnet.

What a fun day!
First, the kids presented what they got me with their Daddy yesterday.
We always seem to plant on Mothers Day,but we knew about today's snow storm, so we are going to do it for FHE tomorrow.

Yes, they wore tank tops yesterday - and it was snowing today!
Crazy Colorado Weather!

Then, I made cookies, and blondies, and snapped a quick pic with the kids.
It is tradition!

Then we went to the Witte's for dinner. Ryan, Veronica, Ben, and Danielle were there, with the kids too!
It was a great day full of love and laughter.
We are going to watch a movie, and call it a night!

Father/Son's and Mother/Daughter's

In Arvada, they are die hard Father/Son Camp out people.
If it is not Stake level, it is Ward level.

We have tried to go to our own Stake Father/Son camp out but no one from our ward seems to go, so Nathan has decided to go to Arvada's with his dad and his brothers. It helps that Nathan grew up in Arvada, so there is always someone he knows there too.

This year was Ward level, so they went to Ryan and Veronica's ward-F/S camp out and Grandpa and Spencer joined too!

Leave it to my husband to not get a picture of everyone.
Anyway, they had a great time.

It was raining and too sleety to cook on Mount Evans so every Witte curled up in our tent and finished making fajitas. They also ate in the tent too!

Then the weather cleared up, just in time for the fireside and dessert.
With a threat of thunder/snow storm overnight, Nathan and his Dad and our boys went to sleep in the observatory. After about an hour, Ryan and his kids joined them in the observatory, because the weather blew his tent over. The only thing people had to deal with in the observatory, was Mason's SNORING.
Who knew? Poor Juliet all these years!

Mason and Lucas on Grandpa's air mattress.
 Beautiful Mountain Sunrise.
Nathan was packing up the tent, and Grandpa took Lucas to the Archery Range.

Lucas loved this and his very last shot was...

A Bulls-eye! No Joke!

They packed up and headed home.

What did the gals do? Well, we rented the new Barbie movie, you know the one Lucas would NEVER watch? Yea, they loved having control of the TV.

We got Reeses Ice Cream and Magic Shell and pigged out on that. Then we had a dance party.
The girls couldn't calm down so we had to separate for bed.

In the morning we played Barbie Hair Salon.

We tried 2 methods and preferred the spray mixture best.

This was serious business. We spent a good hour working on barbie hair.
I tried to get the girls do each others hair, but they desperately wanted to play barbies.
So, we did that until Lunch time.
It was kind of nice not having to keep tabs on Mason.
Not that he is bad, but when he is bored or hungry...watch out! He is very sneaky!
