Juliet the 1st!

Jules was so excited to have a friend party. She couldn't have one last year because we went to the cabin. It worked out last year because everyone her age was a boy. Since we moved, she is surrounded by pretty little girls, all with big blue eyes. Haha.

She wanted a Sofia party. She absolutely loves Sofia the First.
It is a cute show, and worked out to do a character party because I am tired.

It was easy to find, and easy to do.
She had 3 little friends come and the first thing we played was Sofia memory.

Then we painted jewelry boxes. The boys painted birdhouses.
 Look at these eyes!

We played a fun balloon game.

Then we made necklaces.
This was a hit!

Jules wanted to have some princess tests.
and how to sit on horse.
We did freeze dance, and then presents.

Nothing fancy, just a ring pop and a stamp.

She and Bridget give the best reactions to things.

After all the hoopla, we had tea sandwiches, grapes, and her special cake.
She asked for a 4 layer pink cake with purple frosting!

It was a great 90 minute party.
Perfect for a heap of 3 and 4 year olds!

School Christmas Parties Continued

That was Bridget's Class.

As I said before, classroom parties are a serious business at this school.

The room mother puts several helpers to work so that there are at least 5 stations for the kids to go to.

 Scarlett above!

 And there are snacks galore.

3rd grade is not exempt from the activities. All the way up to 6th, they have something going on!

This is Scarlett and her pal, Hyrum. Hyrum has a brother named Treyden in Lucas's class and they are all 4 great friends. They also live 4 houses down, so when it is nice enough to play, that is usually where my 2 gingersnaps are hanging out.

Scarlett is in a no girl phase. She will only play with boys. Not because she "likes" them, but because the girls are not like her good friend E in Colorado. This time will pass. She will get over it, she does think the boys like to "play" more than the girls do, so we will see what she ends up doing this summer. :)

Ward Grinch Party

Our ward had a Grinch themed party.
Each kid had to write something in a heart that would make their heart grow another size.

Since Primary performed 2 numbers they asked for "Grinch" hair. I didn't know how grinchie they were asking so we did a something cute...not to crazy.

The Bishop read a nice story to the primary.
They had games, and while the kids were playing - we had tithing settlement.
The entire ward did tithing settlement in one day!
Then, the kids had to sing to get Santa on stage.

 It was adorable.

Juliet had a tender moment with Santa.

Mason asked Santa for Lucas's toys.
And a wacecar.

It was so fun, and we got to know our ward a little bit better. We are still loving it here. Yesterday we went to an adult Christmas party and found an awesome babysitter who the kids love. We have really enjoyed the vibe and friends of our area. It has been a great transition.

Happy Christmas Parties!

Bridget is 7 - part 1

This girl is the EASIEST kid to shop for in my family. She loves everything, and gives the BEST reactions to things. All Bridget wanted was art supplies, and her own "stuff." DONE!

I grabbed some Mrs. Powell's Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast. They are huge and delicious!

Then she dove into her presents.

She loved everything she got, but she absolutely LOVED her Caboodle.
I filled it with hair accessories and a brush and several chapsticks.

All I am going to say is that Mama knows. I knew this would be her favorite thing. HAHA

We made sure she was sung to 7 times.

Auntie Steph ALWAYS goes first.

After breakfast, we headed out on an adventure (her request) to the very glamorous Rexburg.
It was a 30 minute drive.

We went exploring in the woods and then to the temple.

This is our 10th Temple.
This one is cool because it looks over the whole city...of Rexburg. Exciting Rexburg.

Bridget couldn't believe this was it.

Then we went to lunch at Gator Jake's.
More about her day tomorrow...

A Baptism!

Today was a big day for this boy:

Today was the day that Lucas was baptized!

It was a great day! All of his classmates (minus 1) were there, and some surprise guests came too!
He was so excited to get baptized, and I didn't torture him by giving a super long baptism talk.
(I spoke because I am the CTR 7 teacher AND his mom)

Phil and Theo and Auntie Steph were there too!

It was a fun day, and the party afterwards was even more fun!

Noah explaining something on Lucas's new kindle.
We had a Mexican fiesta. Build your own nachos/soft tacos.
I made Sopapilla Cheesecake (Lucas's request)

We had lots of laughs and then my Witte's tried out a pinata for the first time.

Then it was present time. Lucas's theme it seemed was sports related.
Here is his super favorite thing right now!

He loved everything about today.
I am so happy for this kid, and I am happy to have a fun week with my
sister now that all of this hoopla is over.

Whew!
