Colorado Railroad Museum

We have never been here before. Today seemed like a good day to go. Nathan had to work so we could use his vacation days next month, so I took them by myself. 

It went really well. No stroller, no losing anyone, and no tears.

I am finally at a place where I have "mostly" big kids.

YAY!

 There was a lot to do and see, and Lucas has decided that morse code is so awesome he is going to teach his friends at school about it.

 Almost every train was available for entrance.

 It was 40 degrees out and a beautiful day for exploring.

 We even saw Thomas the Train there!

 We spent 3 hours there. We got a personal tour of the "behind the scenes" and the kids were SO good.

Such a chill and relaxed sort of a day, there was hardly anyone there.

After we left we surprised Nathan for lunch.

The kids loved that, and Nathan loved not having to have leftovers. Haha.

We headed home and the littles crashed.

Now we are off to Costco for a major shop.

It was nice having the whole day with the kiddos.

No having to get back, or be anywhere specific.

How many more days till spring break? 

Just Kidding.

Sledding in the Snow

We got a decent amount of snow, so Nathan bundled up the kids and took them sledding on the school hill.

It was still snowing, and only 22 degrees out, but none of the kids seemed to mind.

Mason, of course was begging to go.

 Nathan and Mason went so fast down they hit the curb on the other side.

When did this boy get so big?

It was so fun!

That hill is pretty nice too!

and...I was there too. wearing the wrong jacket, and the Mr.Smee Hat.. LOL

Banging in the New Year!

It wouldn't be a new year without our pots and pans a slamming at 7am.

It was funny because the neighbor kids were peeking out the window watching my itty bitty Wittes making terrible noise in the snow.

 In case anyone was wondering...Mason enjoyed himself.

 In all fairness, it was snowing and 20ish degrees.

Then we took a happy new year picture.

Then we fed the kids waffles and sparkling cider. Cheered each other and then went about our day.

 After picking up our high tech washer and dryer we took the kids out to a new cuisine.

Another favorite tradition!

This year: Vietnamese Pho!

Some kids were nervous about the unknown.

The waiter asked us how old my twins were.

 Lucas and Scarlett looked at him, looked at each other, and LAUGHED and LAUGHED.

It was delicious, and I will do a goal check tomorrow!
