Pack Meeting!

Lucas earned his Bobcat at Scouts!
It was fun to have Nathan paint his face, and give him the award.
He also earned an arrow point, but has to wait until he has completed his wolf to wear it.
Then we went on a hike.
Below is the only time Scarlett wasn't crying. She was whining the whole time for some reason, and when we got home she said her shoes were full of rocks. HELLO! you should have just taken care of it?!?!
5 year olds drive me crazy sometimes.
Bridget was thrilled because her new friend Olivia was there.
They just moved into our ward.
The girls even had similar hair today, they held hands and skipped most of the time.

It was a fun first pack meeting. There are many more in our future. :)

Dragon Boat Festival

We woke up and got dressed and were out the door by 745am.
We parked the car, sunscreened up, and hitched a ride on a school bus to get to the Festival.

The kids were so excited. We have lived in Denver for years, but never even thought about going to the Dragon Boat Festival until this year. I don't know why, but I am glad that something told us to go this year.

They were beautiful and we got to see them up close.

This was a festival, so there were a ton of stations and vendors to see.

This lady was writing kids names in Japanese!

There was even a parade of flags, and the walk of the dragon.

The girls (and mason) enjoyed the parasols.

They had these bubble tubes kids could ride in, but it was $15 a kid and $20 an adult, so we just watched.

We saw a few people we knew from Arvada wards, and a co-worker of Nathan's was racing with the boy scouts. This is when they decided that their company was going to do this next year.

We had Korean food for lunch (just N and V) I had packed lunches for the kids.

Then we came home and had sprinkler fun.

 Mason hated this!
Scarlett has grown 2.9 inches so far this summer. Mostly in her legs.

It was an excellent day!

8 Birthday!

8 donuts, 8 presents, 8 years old!

This was at 6am! He was so excited to have a birthday!

He loves getting TRU gift cards from Gigi!

Lucas was happy with everything he got. Especially the trax from his sisters.
He said thank you to everyone and then it was time for his last gift.
He has been saving for a Kindle since December. He has wanted to borrow books from the library on it, instead of getting them at the library. We told him if  he saved 1/2 the money, we would match it. He saved $88 dollars and this week they were on sale for $139 so someone was able to get it early!!!

We downloaded the scriptures, and some of his favorite apps, and he was so happy!

We hurried off to spend his card, and pickup a few things before the weekend.

Lucas made everyone dinner (his choice) Cincinnati Chili Dogs with tots.

Then it was off to scouts! What a great day, for this lad.

I am so proud of this boy and who he is becoming. I feel so blessed to have him in our family.
He is a great brother and friend.

What a cool day, and I can't wait for his baptism!!!

Love this boy so much!

Rainy / Estes

We were so stoked to go to Estes with the Witte's until Nathan heard on Tuesday (rockies game) that he got a huge promotion! I mean, Yay! Promotion! But, that meant that he might have to work through the weekend so he could be prepared for Monday. We were right, he got pulled in and we were not able to camp like we had originally planned. We love to camp, and so do the kids, and everyone was totally bummed, but that didn't stop us from having a blast in the rain!

Then, Nathan found out he was done with his project early, so we woke up the kids at 430am and headed to Estes. They were tired, and excited.

We had Breakast with Grandma and Grandpa and Spencer.

After, Nathan took the kids on a hike. I stayed at camp to help clean up.

Nathan took all of these. I was still cleaning back at camp.

When I was done, I took the babies for a walk and Nathan took Spencer and the older 3 golfing.

I put the littles down for nap. Even though we are out, I still have a schedule!

Ben and Danielle arrived with Maxton!!
The kids adore him!

Grandma had the kids play camping Bingo.
Lucas learned knots with Grandpa.

Then it rained and rained. So everyone watched a movie and waited for it to pass. This gave Grandma and I time to assemble dinner.

Mason was in charge of cooking dinner.

Danielle and Ben also took the kids on another hike.

For Dessert we had (my favorite) Chocolate pudding cake and homemade ice cream!
 and Ben was there too!

We left at 830 and the kids fell asleep before we left the grounds.
We had a fun day from Dusk till Dawn.
