Dragon Boat Festival

We woke up and got dressed and were out the door by 745am.
We parked the car, sunscreened up, and hitched a ride on a school bus to get to the Festival.

The kids were so excited. We have lived in Denver for years, but never even thought about going to the Dragon Boat Festival until this year. I don't know why, but I am glad that something told us to go this year.

They were beautiful and we got to see them up close.

This was a festival, so there were a ton of stations and vendors to see.

This lady was writing kids names in Japanese!

There was even a parade of flags, and the walk of the dragon.

The girls (and mason) enjoyed the parasols.

They had these bubble tubes kids could ride in, but it was $15 a kid and $20 an adult, so we just watched.

We saw a few people we knew from Arvada wards, and a co-worker of Nathan's was racing with the boy scouts. This is when they decided that their company was going to do this next year.

We had Korean food for lunch (just N and V) I had packed lunches for the kids.

Then we came home and had sprinkler fun.

 Mason hated this!
Scarlett has grown 2.9 inches so far this summer. Mostly in her legs.

It was an excellent day!
