So I kept telling the kids we were going to the Nuggets game and then I said it was a Basketball game and Lucas blurts out "Chickens can't play basketball!" I laughed and then we headed down there.
I am so grateful that my friend took Scarlett so we could go see the game, it was nice to not have worry about her. The kids were sad she didn't come but I didn't know if the noise would scare her or if because the game was at 7pm if she would have been a cranky butt the entire game.
So we got to the game and I saw my friend from the Denver post there so he let us park in the press parking lot...which was FREE.
I printed out some coupons ahead of time so the concessions were FREE, so we basically spent $3 on sweat bands for the kids...sweet huh?
Here they are for the warm up.
They played a lot of music and everyone around us was laughing at the kids going wild with the dancing.
Bridget was really into the game.
I mean really into it.
Lucas was loving all of the shouting that is involved in a basektball game.
Who's ball is it?
NUGGETS BALL
and my Dad's favorite...
MELOOOOOOOOO
We grabbed some popcorn and then checked out the sites inside.
Then they showed the halftime show and Lucas was commenting on how funny it was that they kept showing the cheerleaders butts on the giant TV.
It was pretty funny. I also thought it was funny that Lucas kept telling me
"Mom where's the Apple Juice? I see everyone with Apple Juice in their cups with no lids. I hope they are careful because Apple Juice is sticky."
Apple Juice =Beer
Bridget was si excited she tried calling Cory and Grandpa and Sickinee aka Stephanie.
Lucas saw this Avs guy and said hey I have that shirt!
So Grandpa this one's for you!
On the way home from the game Lucas said "that was so great Mom, it was a time of my life."
I laughed and then he asked if he could take Grandpa Horn to see it next time he comes to visit. I said sure, and Bridget yelled out..."AND GWAMMA too?
Of course.
I love the funny things kids say. I'm glad you got to go. My kids love going to games, so I wish we still lived there to take advantage of all the free tickets my dad gets.
