So I know its Nathan's Birthday and all but I had something cool to share.

I turned this...
One of my favorite Maternity Shirts.
Into this...
A cute summer play dress!
Bridget could live in these if I let her, so I thought I would
make her some that she could literally play and get dirty in!
It also helps that Yellow looks great on her!
Here is the back. Super cute right?
I made it up as I went and learned a few things about myself and my machine and I learned that I want a serger. Hahaha.
It is perfect for twirling and dancing.
And showing off her hot pink panties! Haha, guess I will need to buy some white ones!

I think she likes it...what about you?
Move over Tyra! She is America's Next Top Model!
I had plenty of extra fabric...maybe I will add fabric flowers to the top...
Thank you to all of those sites out there who make it look so easy because it was! And Thanks to Chrystal who showed me some simple sewing steps!

ReplyDeleteI have wanted a serger for years but haven't managed it yet. It's not high enough on my priority list I guess :0)
I LOVE IT!!! I can't believe how creative you are. I wish I lived by you guys so I could learn some of the cool things that you do! You should start a "green" or "recycling" blog and post this in it:)
ReplyDeleteI love it! Way to go! And yes I NEED a serger too! Maybe we need to poke our husbands a little bit, since Mother's day is not too far off!
ReplyDeleteGREAT JOB! You've inspired ME to go through MY old maternity clothes. ;)
ReplyDeleteSUPER CUTE!! How creative! I can't sew worth a darn! So, since you are making your maternity clothes, especially your favorite top into cute summer play dresses for Bridget, are you done with babies or now you can buy new cute maternity clothes when you need them.Mother's Day is coming up, is a serger in your future?? Also, LOVE Bridget's poses!!
ReplyDeleteShe DOES look good in yellow! Must be the olive complexion, they look good in anything. That's so cute! When you get a serger I claim dibs to come over and use it!
ReplyDeleteVery Cute Valerie. I love it.
