Feb 4th

Today was jam packed with stuff to do. Lucas here, girls there, babies to nap, pick up, setting up appointments, rearranging classes, school projects, enrolling Bridget into Kindergarten, lather, rinse, repeat! Whew! Just writing all that makes me tired.

In between the madness, the kids got to open their mailboxes midday.

They thought that was AWESOME.

Slap Bracelets!

I will never forget the first time I got one. My mother gave me and my sister the angry face and was yelling at us about who knows what and we were so scared because we were in trouble. She said "stick out your hand" and we did and turned our heads (in total fear) and SLAP! the bracelet was on. We looked at each

other and laughed and laughed.

For my girls, I just let them try and figure it out.

Once they gave up, I slapped it on Juliet.

Then on Bridget.

She laughed her deep belly laugh.

Lucas, figured it out pretty fast.

Scarlett was just happy that weenies were on hers.

Look at this kids hands. He is going to be huge.

After school, it was back to go, go, go.

We had no time to really make dinner, so Nathan whipped up noodles and pears for the kids since I was gone tonight. Yes! Another thing from the basket!

2/3/13

What a weird day today. The kids woke up wired and we were running 10 minutes behind schedule. We still made it to church at 8:45 but I still don't like feeling "rushed." We usually get there at 35 after, no matter what time church starts. I like to be a little early, and get the things I need to do - done before everyone shows up. Also, I like my kids to get their sillies out before we sit, because sometimes service can be looong.

I was looking for Mason's shoes and the kids were just skipping all over the driveway. Nathan thought he might have an idea where they were so he ran in and they were all just being silly.

At church our new missionary from Spain came up.

Lucas and Bridget stopped playing tic tac toe to listen to him.

Scarlett had the scripture today.

She was very upset that Emma wasn't there to hear her. She was also sad that Juliet wasn't in Primary to hear her either. But, she did a great job anyway.

We skipped Sunday Centers and everyone napped. Even Lucas!

Nathan made Tuna Tomato Melts for dinner, sounds weird but they were so good, and we used up our tomatoes! Then we turned on the Super Bowl and the kids got a delivery.

The kids have only had this once, Juliet never had it before but nothing can stop her!

This kids had fun and decided that they liked the blue better than red, which is good for me because Cherry anything is my favorite. :) Nathan doesn't like "candy" so he didn't even try it. Lame.

2nd of February

Today is Nathan's Dad's Birthday.

We picked up our basket.

It was a great basket this time! I love getting them because it helps me with my goal to stay "real" and not prepackaged, and helps me get creative with meals. Tonight was a perfect night for it too!

Then we headed out to Sams Club.

The kids all had lunch there. We looked like we were a field trip group. At least, that is what it felt like.

People were gawking at us. I choose to believe it was because our cute little kids were all sitting in a row, eating pizza and hot dogs and not bothering anyone. Nathan thinks it was in my head, and that they were staring because we took up two tables. :)

We took advantage of the beautiful 60 degree day.

Lucas took advantage of the winter in the back and spring in the front. :)

Then we played out front.

Mason was being so crazy outside.

The kids raced out front with Nathan.

Then he wanted in on the action. Doesn't he look too little to be walking?

She got it!

We came in, and then Grandma and Grandpa came to drop off some stuff.

It was time to come in for dinner.

We made Spinach Feta and Strawberry Salad.

They are kinda heart shaped, right?

We made Candied Pecans for the salad too.

I served it with 2 dressings.

Poppy seed and Raspberry Vinaigrette.

I let the kids decide. They thought that was so cool.

Juliet was so hungry, she couldn't even be bothered to put dressing on her spinach.

My kids love Feta. A few days ago when I bought several boxes of Cheez-Its they looked on the back asking which one was the Feta flavored. It was so cute.

After dinner, the kids opened their mailboxes.

Auntie Steph found JellyBeans with conversation words on them.

We bathed them, and read stories together and then ate their jellybeans, mostly in one bite. :)

A Fun Feb. 1

This morning Miss B had her Preschool/PreK Conference.

Of course, she did a great job. She scored higher than the standard, and is ready for Kindergarten.

Was I worried? No.

As a treat we went to Chic-Fil-A for lunch.

The kids loved it, I let them play and then we left before it got too busy.

We came home and the girls wanted to play dress up in the basement. Bridget dressed as spider girl and thought she could "be" spider girl. So, she climbed on a food storage shelf and knocked it completely over. Like broken glass, dented cans, the whole nine...what a mess.

There was so much to pick up and I was so upset (not mad) and the shelf is completely twisted and broken and Nathan came home to help clean it up, because it was a wreck.
