Kinder Zoo Field Trip

Bridget was so excited to go. Her first school bus ride!

My/Her group was Sienna, Claudia, and another girl but the girl's mother freaked out because she wanted us to stop and take a picture with every animal, and read every single sign, and I told her we wouldn't have time for that and since I was the chaperone and she was just visiting, maybe she should just go on her own. Then she called me a B#$%^ in front of my daughter and the other girls, and walked away.
The girls all asked what a B&(*)$ was and then Mrs. S came up and told me that she thought this might happen, and not to worry about it. This mother also refused to let her daughter ride the bus because the school isn't responsible for her daughter, she is, and because of this, her daughter will be by her side from now on. (Whatever)

This wasn't a personal trip for these kids, they had things they were supposed to do at the zoo.
Each kid had picked a large animal they needed to locate at the zoo and find out as much as possible about that animal. Then they were supposed to spot 3 different examples of the food chain.  The last thing they were supposed to do was to name 6 reptiles and 6 different types of fish.

We got it all done and had a great time, despite the dispute earlier.
In fact, I forgot all about it until the bus ride home when another parent chaperone was complaining about the same mom tagging along her group and holding her up and then losing her own daughter!

Here is Bridget's 6 fingered self portrait. LOL

We had no clogging with the other 8 schools that were there, because I went the opposite direction of everyone else. My group was able to get a lot of time with the zoo hands.
They had made a jacket for the zoo's largest Ape, and Bridget got to try it on.
He is over 600 pounds!

It was a fun day (minus the mama drama) and Bridget can't stop talking about it!
