Bridget's SPAmazing Weekend, part one

When Lucas turned 5, all he wanted was to go Golfin' with Grandpa Horn.
As soon as we left California, Bridget declared she was going to spend her 5th Birthday with Grandma getting her nails painted! (she was 3.5 at the time)

Well, the time has come - the walrus said!

Let me tell you that only my daughter could get the entire plane load of passengers to sing her
 Happy Birthday!
The flight attendant said "We have a very special guest on the plane today."
Everyone was looking around. (I just wanted to say yeah right, on southwest on a Wednesday afternoon?)
He then said "Her name is Bridget and she turns FIVE tomorrow!"
Her eyes lit up and then the whole plane belted out Happy Birthday and clapped.
She got to take home an ENTIRE bag of PRETZEL'S!

As soon as we landed, she called her dad and said "the whole plane sang to me for my birthday!" People getting off we laughing because she was so matter a fact about it.

We got off the plane, and they let her see the whole area of it!

That was fine and dandy, but she was here to see Grandma, so out she went!

and squeeze Phil too!

She was so excited to get home and see Grandpa.
Once we got home they showed her, her sleeping quarters.
There was a little surprise from Auntie Steph and Grandma.

While Bridget was opening her fun stuff - I got my own Phil time in.

Phil didn't want to be the birthday girl.

Then it was time for some tackling!

One of Bridget's favorite things was a Diary with a lock and this awesome pen. Auntie Steph is awesome!

Then it was time for her special dinner.
Bridget loves Feta Cheese.
So we went to the Great Greek for Dinner.

Uncle Theo works there, so it was an extra special treat!

Look at the fire in this picture! You can even see the waves of heat!

All for this - Cognac-Flamed Cheese 'Saganaki'

It didn't disappoint!

 Spanakopita, and Lamb with Potatoes.

And...A Sundae!

Bridget loved her dinner, and was very grateful.

A few of the people told Bridget she was pretty, and she quickly replied:
"Thank you, and I'm smart too!"

Love that girl!

We quickly came home and started our spa regime.
And you know that my kids always get an outfit that goes with their birthday theme.
Well - as soon as I saw these...I had to get them!

Grandma getting Bridget for a real spa night.

Bridget totally eating it up.
Most important thing of the night..."pickles" on the eyes.

Check!

Then a serum, then some meditation.

It was fun. Even Phil was into it!

Bridget went to bed after talking to her dad and was so excited to sleep with Auntie Steph.

Whew! What a day! Tomorrow is only going to get better.
