PACK MEETING!

I don't think I have gushed about my calling. I have THE best calling in Cub Scouts.
I was only a Wolf Den Leader for 6 weeks before we decided to move.
I loved that calling, but I didn't know love - until now.
I am the Cub Master. I am in charge of the monthly meeting where each den comes together, gets awards, and has fun together. Basically - a party planner.
There isn't a more perfect calling for me out there. (right now)
Anyway, today I did a snow theme.
We had 19 cubs come and everyone had a GREAT time.
They earned this segment:

We talked about being tools (the good kind) hahaha

The Skit. This was so cute.
We made Snowflakes:
This is Brody, Lucas's Math pal.
We played games with "snowballs" Here, they had to collect snowballs and load them into the cup.
We played Snowball toss.

I had the siblings make a different kind of ornament:
We had 19 boys come, and we all had a great time. I am glad Nathan was able to make it, and that the cubs had so much fun.  I really had fun planning this one!

Ward Grinch Party

Our ward had a Grinch themed party.
Each kid had to write something in a heart that would make their heart grow another size.

Since Primary performed 2 numbers they asked for "Grinch" hair. I didn't know how grinchie they were asking so we did a something cute...not to crazy.

The Bishop read a nice story to the primary.
They had games, and while the kids were playing - we had tithing settlement.
The entire ward did tithing settlement in one day!
Then, the kids had to sing to get Santa on stage.

 It was adorable.

Juliet had a tender moment with Santa.

Mason asked Santa for Lucas's toys.
And a wacecar.

It was so fun, and we got to know our ward a little bit better. We are still loving it here. Yesterday we went to an adult Christmas party and found an awesome babysitter who the kids love. We have really enjoyed the vibe and friends of our area. It has been a great transition.

Happy Christmas Parties!

Advent Randoms

Every year we do some fun activities leading up to Christmas.
Some people are nativity collectors, I am an advent collector.

I buy a Lego one every year.
I made a muffin tin one that we use for scriptures.
I have one that has Christmas traditions throughout the years.
I buy a chocolate one, or two, or five.
I have one that has different activities for us to do every day.
I made one with books that we read every night.

Obsessed? Maybe. I LOVE advent calendars. I sort of hoard them. I search and search every year for the new one we will get. Nathan cracks jokes that our house is going to look like a cuckoo clock store, but with advent calendars.

Silly, I know.

Anyway - here is what we have been up to.

We tried something new...

We watched several Christmas Classics - This was Charlie Brown Christmas

We scoped out the best light displays and then drove through the best one
 (OUR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD)

Our goal is to make 12 types of cookies and pass them out.
Cream Cheese Spritz (RS CHRISTMAS DINNER)

Candy Cane Kiss Cookies (A HT Family, they got a song too)

Of course decorated sugar cookies! (we kept these)
 Some more successful than others.

And yesterday we saw and touched a reindeer. 2, actually.
And we tried a Whipped Wally. (Ice Cream on top of Hot Chocolate)

We got to the reindeers before there was a line. We waited maybe 15 minutes, had a drink, cookies, and watched a show. The kids liked that we were home in time for dinner and another movie!

This one had just shed his antlers that morning, so they let the kids inspect them.

It was fun, the kids have had a great time doing our advents. I wish we had something else to count down to. :)

Another Year

How did we get here so fast? Every time I look at these pictures, I sniffle a little.

We are so blessed to have these 2 babies in our lives. I love them so much!

Mason is 3 (tomorrow) We celebrated today to kick off our December!
3 Donuts, 3 candles,

Paw Patrol is the best show ever. Puppies and Community Helpers? Yes please! Lucas would have loved this show if it was onwhen he was little.

Auntie Steph knew just what to get. "3 cars cause I'm 3!"

Finally, the whole gang!

He asked for a hoop and bassaball.
So Grandma Witte picked an adjustable height, over the door hoop.

For dinner he asked for Meat. Meat? Yep, Meatballs.
I just love this kid to death. He is such a handsome and carefree boy. More on him tomorrow.
