St Patty's

Where have we been? Well, first we all shared a stomach bug.
Juliet was hit hardest.

This was at the beginning of the week, and then the end.

We had lots of snow, which meant for me : BAKING!

 and Lemon Pound Cake

Then, Nathan had to speak in Eastlake, and I spoke in a Westminster Stake Ward, and we have been dealing with Nathan's first round of finals and then starting the next semester. Whew! These past 2 weeks have been jam packed with having to be everywhere, and going and doing everything. Which has been great, and tiring all at the same time.

We have spent just about every night playing just with the kids because we needed a wind down time.
Nothing really photo worthy or blog worthy, but still just what we needed.

Anyway, back to St. Patrick's Day.
Lucas's class at school was learning about physics and construction and Mrs. H sent out a note letting the parents know that her class was the first, first grade class in GP history to build traps. Not one, but their own. They wanted parent help and Lucas quickly signed up his Dad saying, "my dad is an engineer! he builds lots of things, and has practically rebuilt our entire house." Which, he sort of has. So, Mrs. H called me to let me know that Lucas signed up his dad. Nathan was so excited to help out, he loves when he gets the opportunity to come in and be apart of the class.

Each table had to decide on a plan.
Draw the plan, and then build.

There were 9 parents and 6 teachers all working with the kids.
Each table was very different, and very creative.

because Nathan can't follow directions Lucas's table is all boys, they each decided to build their own and then connect them to make one GIANT trap.

Bridget had fun at her school too. :)

For Breakfast on Sunday they had this...

That was the extent of our "holiday"
Nothing fancy here, just something small and silly.

Oh! And we found our first slug after church!

So that is what we are doing, regular people doing regular things. :)
