Day Two in Arizona

So - the time change is a funny thing. You see according to modern technology Phoenix is the same time zone as Mountain Time (which is what we are) but in real life Arizona is actually Mountain Standard Time. Which means - they are stagnant. They don't change like EVERYONE else in America.  Normally this wouldn't be a problem except that today it was a problem. Not a bad one, just one we didn't think about.

Here's what happened.

The kids woke up at 6am. We got them dressed, went out to Safeway grabbed some Danishes and OJ and everyone was staring at us.
I kept thinking - has no one seen 4 gorgeous kids before?
They are being so good - is that unusual?
We continued on
We went to this AMAZING park in the neighborhood. There were a few people walking their dogs and as we unloaded the children from the Yukon we were getting more looks. I couldn't figure it out. I checked everyone's teeth for the usual lettuce/pepper/nasty stuff in their mouths but everyone was clean.

We continued on.

The kids got to eat breakfast at the park, then play at the park. No one was there. I don't get it because it was already 91 degrees outside. Perfect park weather. Then we needed to hit up a Target. So after an hour or so we loaded everyone up and headed 16 miles to the Target.
No one was in the parking lot. D.E.A.D. I couldn't figure it out. It was 8:45 in the morning. Target ALWAYS opens at 8:00am.

And then it happened.

I realized it was 7:45 in the morning.
Yep.
All those looks were because to the average person it looked like we woke up our kids at 5:30am PHOENIX time and started our day.  Then it made total sense to me.

I couldn't help but laugh.

So when we rolled back to Liz and Cory's house we had already had a day and it was BARELY 9:30. HAHAHAHAHA.

Here are the pics of the morning...

This was literally the neighborhood park. It had 4 parks and only ONE entrance! No kids to escape. It had real bathrooms and a splash pad area. So awesome!
 Danishes! Mmmmm.

I forgot to mention in our morning "drama" what we saw when we left the house...

There were 10-12 hot air balloons just floating along. Liz and Cory told us that they are out every morning if you are up early enough. Guess what - we WERE!

Once we got home we played the wii, xbox and learned how to play volleyball.

The girls also got to play dress up!
We learned to long board and played with cars.
"and by then it's like 7:15."
Just kidding.

We took long naps again and then went back to the pool.
It was 6ish when we got home.
I need to mention for the record that todays high was 118.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!
We came home and I made Pizza Rolls.
Sausage and Pepperoni with Salad.

We had my Sopapilla Cheesecake for dessert, and then watched a movie to calm down.
The kids hit the sack so hard you could probably hear it in Colorado! Haha.
Tomorrow is our last day in AZ. The kids are sad about it.
Scarlett is going to miss Co-wy and Lizzz.
