A Handsome Individual - Lucas is 6!

Lucas is really a mother's dream.

He always does his chores, he always cleans his plate, he has terrific manners.

I have said it many times, that he is a great Big Brother, but he really is.

 He is a great reader and writer, and his favorite thing to do this summer so far, 

is go on bike rides with his dad and sisters.

I can't believe that he will be 6 on Sunday!

In some ways it has gone SO fast and in others, SO slow.

He loves to read to the girls at night and is very good at using expression in his reading.

I asked him the typical interview questions and added a few since he is older, his answers actually surprised me. Here they are:

1. what is your favorite color? green and red.
2. what is your favorite toy? Legos, come on mom you know that.
3. what is your favorite fruit? kiwi and pineapple. I like oranges but I don't like the sores I get from them.
4. what is your favorite t.v. show? rescue heroes, phineas and ferb, and gravity falls.
5. what is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? tortellini with greek sauce.
6. what is your favorite outfit? workout pants and t-shirt.
7. what is your favorite game? name that tune, and boom blox
8. what is your favorite snack? carrots like grandpa horn
9. what don't you like to eat? bell peppers
10. what is your favorite animal? dolphins
11. what are you scared of? nothing, well, i don't like being in trouble
12. what is your favorite song? I like the ninja song
13. what is your favorite book? Reddy Freddy
14. who is your best friend? Robert, he has been my best friend forever.
15. what is your favorite cereal? Shredded Mini Wheats, or Raisin Bran Crunch  (old man)
16. what is your favorite thing to do outside? ride my bike
17. what is your favorite season? Summer in California, and camping in the summer too!
18. what is your favorite drink? sports juice (gatorade)
19. what is your favorite holiday? thanksgiving, because we see lots of family 
20. what do you like to take to bed with you at night? nothing, babies do that.
21. what is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Eggs and Salt (hard boiled eggs)
22. what do you want for dinner on your birthday? Nachos or Tortellini
23. what do you want to be when you grow up? a fireman, or a fire origin investigator, and a dad. 
24. if you had one wish, what would it be? I wish for all the bad guys in the world to go away. then we wouldn't have to lock our doors at night.
25. what are you most excited for when you turn 6? I am excited to be in school all day and to learn the saxophone.
26. what was your favorite thing about being 5? I finally got a brother, and mommy lived. (crying over here)
27. what advice would you give your sisters about getting older? Listen and stop being annoying. Oh and stop talking. too much.

Lucas made a list of things he wants to do for his 6th birthday and we are doing them all this weekend!
Having a summer birthday is hard, because finding school and church friends who AREN'T on vacation is difficult. We made this the plan for Lucas and he will get his next party when he is 8.
He is pretty stoked for tomorrows events!
