9 months/7 months adj

Mason is 9 months old! Yay!

You would never know Mason was a preemie by looking at him.
He is silly, and makes the funniest sounds and has the best laugh I have ever heard come from a baby.
I need to you tube it, because it is just that funny.

I never thought we would get here, but we are.
They said that he would not catch up until he was about 2.

He can (from his belly) crawl upwards to sitting position!
He can crawl (almost) on all fours. More like 3 legged.
Also he can climb on to things, but not the stairs yet. Whew!

His official stats are:
22.3 pounds!
29.5 inches!

He is small for a 9 month old, but for a 6 month old he is HUGE!
But...he is on both scales! Horray!

He looks good, and his IEP leader says he should be walking before he is 14 months!
That is a big deal! The leg braces are gone, and his gross motor is on the right track.

When Dr. Campbell was checking him out he was crying and Juliet just laid her head on him and he calmed down. Those two are going to be the best of friends...later on! : D

  1. How is he small for 9 months? Jackson was 21.1 lbs and 29.5 inches at his nine month. He was 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height.

    1. Well, according to my Pedi he is small for his age...maybe because the rest of the kids were in the 90s at 9 months.

Also if you look at the post from Preschool, he looks "little" compared ot other babies. :)

    2. It just threw me off comparing his stats to Jacksons 9 month stats. I can see where Dr. Campbell would say he's small considering your others were all in the 90's at 9 months. :)

  2. My question exactly Rachel--Aisling is only 20 lbs and a little over 30 inches right now and she is 13 months!
