Chassé and Plié

The girls were ready to roll this morning. If it is Wednesday, it it a ballet day!

Weirdly enough, it was overcast AGAIN! ugh!

Bridget's class goes first, but since I am their mother, we got there a little early for free dance.

Even though they fight like cats and dogs the entire 6 minute drive there, once we are in the ballet room...they are best friends.

Bridget will shout out "Adagio" and both girls will do the movement.

Then Miss Liesel will tell them it is class time, so Bridget stays in and Scarlett goes into the foyer and plays Tangrams.

I stand out and take pictures through the glass.

Bridget's shoes came in, Scarlett's unfortunately were too small.
From 2 weeks ago when she was fitted to today...they grew somehow.
Oh well, back to Bridget.

She loves it, has a good time, and then it is over.

Scarlett runs right in and waits for instruction.

Part of the program is the leaves. This is Scarlett's favorite thing.

This is Sylvia. She is deaf. She gave both my girls a name sign.
Bridget's is the letter B across her chest.
Scarlett's is the letter S tapped twice on the chin.

Someone who speaks ASL has to give you a name, you can't just make it up on your own.

 Scarlett is a natural dancer.

I love Wednesdays almost as much as they do.
I love to see them with others and actually listen and take dance seriously.

Juliet will love it too, when its her time.
