For some reason, our house seems to be the last stop for friends who move.
This is the fifth family in the last year that left the ward for a job transfer and that has stopped at our house.
This particular move was hard on our girls.
Caira and Kieran were great little friends for Bridget and Scarlett.
Same ages, same interests.
The girls came over while Tony and Kelli had a few errands to do before they left for Texas.
Bridget had a really, really hard time with Caira's move.
There were about 12 outfit changes while they were here.
Then Xenia and Naiya came over for one last good bye and then the waterworks started.
My girls cried all through lunch.
After naps, I told the kids we would go to the park to cheer everyone up.
Juliet LOOOOOOOOVED our little impromptu park outing.
Lucas was looking for Anna, because he associates random park days with the Sollis's.
Then he was sad.
But - while we were at the park...this GIANT kid walked up.
It was my Ali! I used to nanny her and her brother, a million years ago.
Here they are now!
Ethan is in 6th grade and Ali is in 4th.
I was reminded of how much I missed them, and when Nathan came home he tried to snap our somber attitudes out, but it didn't work. But - ice cream sandwiches somehow fixed the mood. :)
