Escaping the Fire

I don't know if you have heard about the horrible Ft. Collins fire, but it is so bad that when we got going this morning, we couldn't even see the houses on the cul de sac. It was so sad.  I had to take Mason to his appointments. The drive was so hazy and smelly outside.

We were at the Doctor's office for 1.5 hours.
Mason gained 3 pounds and 5 inches since the last visit.
He is in the 90th percentile for height (adjusted)

He did get shots and an IEP for his physical developments.
They are holding off on surgery but have a plan and hope the new therapists can fix his legs.
He will be braced, but that is the least of my worries.

The kids were less than perfect at the doctor's office.
We had a talk and they vowed to be better.
I took them to the splash park and we had lunch there.

The fire smell was bad, but what can you do?
They had a great time.

Juliet was trying to "help" this dog, and he kept backing up. It was so funny.
Mr. Chunk with his thigh bandaids.
The kids all took a turn making dinner and dessert tonight.
Lucas peeled and minced the garlic, to which he shouted "My fingers now smell like Grandpa Horn!"
We all got a laugh at that!

After dinner, the kids had fun playing the wii.

We wanted to be out more, but we decided to stay in and escape the fire. :)
