Blessing Day

Today was the day we blessed Juliet.  It was so sunny and beautiful outside what a perfect day!
For Reference  Scarletts Blessing DAY, Bridget and Lucas's Blessing Day, Pictures of Bridget in Her Dress, Pictures of Lucas in his Outfit.

The kids were over the moon about Juliet's special day.
Here she is in the outfit Grandma Witte made.
Our family picture. Juliet is also wrapped up in a blanket GiGi made.  Each of my kids have been wrapped in this blanket during their blessing.
What is a blessing?
It is when a worth priesthood holder (Nathan) gives his child its first blessing into the world.  They use the priesthood to grant blessings on their children just as their life is beginning. Some things Nathan blessed her with: (Thank you Andi for writing it all down...she wrote them all down for EVERY kid...love her!)
She will have a sweet and great spirit and a great outlook on life.
She will inspire others and people will be drawn to her light.
She will lead others by her example.
She is greatly loved by her family and friends and everyone who comes into contact with her will love her.
She will be strong in the gospel and a great example of support and kindness with others and her brotherS and sisters. Yea - we all heard brotherS. Hahaha.
This is also the time where she is given a name to be held upon the records in heaven and at church.

It was awesome.
Juliet Elise
Was totally awake for all of the meeting and I snuck a picture!
Here is the gang that was there.
It was nice to see everyone again!
Thanks Becky for taking these! Haha
Nathan, Gary, Ryan, Chris (leaving in 1.5 weeks), Caleb Pearson, Kerry Pabst, Dennis Hampson, Greg Cleverley, Bishop Oviatt, Rex Jones were all in the circle for the blessing.

Kerry and Dennis and Bishop have been in EVERY one of our kids blessing circles. It was nice to keep up the tradition. :)
Sydney - Oh Sydney.

I am grateful Nathan takes his worthiness seriously.  He really thinks about what he is going to say and always gives such beautiful blessings.  Juliet of course is perfect. :)

  1. It was a great sacrifice to let my dad come back for the blessing, but I'm glad you got to keep the tradition going ;) ha ha. I love your matching Sundays!
