Here we are at the 8th Annual Kite Festival in 2010
This year was the 10th.
2 kids more this time, and it was super fun!
I am grateful for the Halgren's who let us park at their house, there were cars EVERYWHERE.
Lucas was able to try out a few booths. This one was Ultimate Fighting...we quickly moved on. Don't want any 5 year olds to get any ideas...
The kites were already up when we got there (after Chelsea Loughe's shower)
So, we got to work.
I love that Nathan is always willing to carry everything. Hahaha.
There it goes!
Bridget won a raffle prize, a fairy kite!
Mason was just chillin on me. :)
We went to some booths and the kids played at the park.
Then the kids found this fun sack race game.
I entered a drawing and find out tomorrow if I won this game and the hopscotch below!
The kids had fun in the jumping castles.
There were police units, firetrucks, and policemen all together.
The kids loved being in the firetruck.
And, in true Lucas fashion, he was telling everyone what everything was for.
Love him!
Juliet wanted to get out and walk so we stopped for a quick bite.
Why is "carnival food" soooo good?!?
This Mason sized bag of kettle corn was only $4!
It was delicious!
I love my family, and all the fun things we do together.
Even having squirt bottle wars at the kite festival...Lucas - I WILL get you back!
Muah hahaha.
Our kids adapt so well to whatever is thrown at them.
We had a great time, and saw lots of Arvada friends there.
It was an awesome blast from the past. We got lots of compliments on our cuties. :)
Even Ryan and Veronica were there!
Why didn't we plan ahead to hang out with them?
*sigh* we may never know.
We enjoyed watching the kites and listening to the band play fun songs.
They had a great DJ this time too.
Nathan and I were singing along to most of the songs.
On our way back to the car (at the Halgrens)
Sweet Mason passed out.
We drove over to Grandma and Grandpa Witte's so the kids could collect their easter fun.
On the way we saw Sister Ellen Runyan. We pulled over and visited with her.
I just love her, and Mason was born on Bishop Runyan's birthday!
I will forever miss him.
Here are the kids hanging out at the Witte's playing with their Easter bubbles.
We spent a good 3 hours with Grandpa Witte and then we came home to a beautiful spring rain.
April is a great month!
