Lasts, part 2 - Kindergarten Graduation!

Wow, the school year is REALLY over! Here is Lucas on the FIRST day of Kindergarten!

He has thoroughly enjoyed school, as I knew he would.
Lucas has made many friends, and managed to have one kid in his class
(who was a "bully") become his friend.
Lucas was really frustrated with this kids behavior towards him, and straight up asked him to stop being mean and just be his friend. We later learned that his parents were splitting and he was just lashing out.
I am proud of Lucas for being so grown up in this particular experience.

Here is Lucas today.

He has learned so much, and really has become more mature this year. He sees things like his father does, (logically) which can be a blessing and a curse. Lucas is reading and writing above grade level, and we are so proud of him. He is still a perfectionist, but we are working on that. He found out in PE that in all of the sports he has learned over the year, cup stacking - yes, cup stacking is his favorite. He learned in Music that he really wants to learn how to play a woodwind - next year!, and in Art he is better at completing a focused assignment rather than "free flowing it" - which I already knew about him. Haha.

He had the best K teacher at the school, and she has really loved each of her 16 kids.
She has been awesome. Today was Kindergarten Graduation, and Grandma Witte came to see it.
Nathan met me at the school with the crew and here are some fun pictures of the event!

They had donuts and a video presentation in the class afterwards. It was very sweet.
It was also Robert's 6th birthday!

We left the school, said our good byes, and hit the road.
19 hours of driving fun with our family of 7- can I get a woot woot?

Next up, Road Trip!!!
