Since we spent a day driving, we decided to take the first day as a chill day.
The kids were so excited for their first morning visitor.
Little Phil!
Aunt Steph too, but really, Little Phil!
I felt bad for the guy, he had 5 adoring fans right off the bat!
Make that 4. Hahaha.
All we had to do was feed him, and he perked right up!
Nathan was happy to be around the little ones. I think I have mentioned before that he is a baby hog.
Aunt Steph french braided Bridget's hair. She was ecstatic.
Steph squeezed Mason a few times.
So, Bridget took Phil.
Juliet just ate.
Then Steph and Phil had to go and we got dressed and headed to the park.
The last time we went to the park was May 2010 HERE
Wow! Time Flies!
The pine cones were ridiculous!
Jules went right up to the "gogie!"
Then we came home for nap, and I took the older two, to Rocket Fizz!
Their root beers were all fifty cents, so we grabbed 3 and took them home for a taste test.
The family favorite was the Fireman Brew. Lucas and Nathan made their own concoction.
Lucas found this sign on the way home from Rocket Fizz.
He told me he was pretty sure these were only found in California.
(more like Grandpa's neighborhood) He lives between 2 private golf clubs.
After the taste, we took the kids out back to play some soccer.
The kids had a blast.
Then we played hopscotch out front.
Grandpa made Lemon Garlic Grilled Chicken, and baked potatoes on the grill too! The kids had drumsticks and corn, and loved it all. Lucas had 3 of each!
The kids had a great day and loved being outside for most of it.
